Brock had the most freak potential

When he was 14 lol?
So you saying Brock been on the ped juice since his 15 years of age?

He was a freak athlete and a good fighter but I think people tend to be way too charitable to him with the "if" scenarios. We simply dont know how he would have done if he had started younger or not gotten sick, college wrestling credentials and athleticism are nowhere near enough to guarantee anything. Theres every possibility he still would have gotten his ass kicked plenty. Also if he had started earlier he presumably wouldnt have become a famous pro wrestler and as a result would have had to take a longer less privileged road to the top.

No shit retard. Great job cherry picking one fight long after his peak vs Jones entire career. Great insight.
If anything Brock took more gear. It's Brock Lesnar. I also don't like getting called names 😬. Hit a nerve.

I just don’t see his talent beyond wrestling, strength and athleticism. Coordination is very weird - look at his fight against Cain. He looked as uncoordinated as a girl, losing balance, throwing slow punches, weird footwork, even wrestling side was bad when he faced good wrestler... Not sure. I know it is one fight, but he did not have many.

When he was able to use wrestling, it worked well. The rest not so much.

It's interesting seeing how good he looked in his third fight Vs Herring and then seeing as a comparison Gable Steveson have his third fight on the regionals this week.

I wasn't a big fan of his at the time, but looking back, it was clear had he transitioned to mma after his collegiate wrestling career, he probably wouldve been talked about like a GOAT at heavyweight.

Could make the same thread about Ngannou if he started training earlier than 34 or whatever it was lol.

Can do the same with Romero if he started earlier than 35.

What if DC crossed over in his 20’s…

That's classic rookie conditioning. He had the power, speed and reach he just never had enough striking experience. A lot of rookies shell up until they learn.

Flat out potential though Brock would have destroyed. Already won a title and defended it twice with a disease and rookie level striking experience.
You're both right.
If he could have been trained properly the sky was the limit. I mean, HIM, with STRIKING. . . boof.

Buuuut, despite his clear skills and attributes, his striking blew and he couldn't/wouldn't take a punch. So...fairly low ceiling there, other than in HW ;)

And I agree with you on his curling up when hit: Yes, he could simply "not have it", but the guy is absolutely not a coward. Quite the contrary. I just think he never really got used to it, and frankly didn't need or want to either (i.e., he didn't need the fame or money).

I always thought of that Northcutt guy…

Too bad fighting is about more than just muscles and athleticism…
