Sheffield votes Leave: 51 per cent Out to 49 per cent In (136,018 to 130,735).

Coventry votes Leave: 55.6 per cent Out compared to 44.4 per cent In (85,097 to 67,967).

Haringey votes to Remain: 75.6 per cent In and 24.4 per cent Out (79,991 to 25,855).

I'm asking from a stance of really not knowing much of UK politics. I know emotions are running high, but can you fill me in? What's the makeup of Scotland demographics which are so different than other areas?
oh my bad, Scotland is mostly a left-wing country..... and the English are mostly right wing. Also there are many in the country that are eager for another independence referundum.... and if we get dragged out by England, theres a good chance of another one. that couldve played a part in the voting

How does the vote work?

Popular vote, or is it like an electoral college?

God damn this is going to cause a global market panic isnt it? Bastards fucking with my $$ now.

Short term instability. NYC, Singapore and Dubai will only be to happy to pick up that banking business.

Why won't the EU just reform that schengen rule to make it more restrictive and not push any migration or refugee initiatives on England?

Hell, England is not even a signee of it - just toss them a bone and calm the nationalists

Seems that would appease most.

Because you are net beneficiaries?
hardly..... as part of the UK we are given a budget by the UK government every year. Which pales in comparison to what we pay into the UK

Scotland would be far better of an independent country as part of the EU, than it is as part of the UK

It's not a binding vote. The political leaders could just ignore the will of the voters and not back out, though they'd be foolish to do so (or stay, depending on who wins).

Cheers!

Appreciate the insight!

When you say play a part in another Scotland vote for independence, would a UK leave vote adversely affect them gaining that independence or potentially make that more likely?

What I mean is, I would think if the UK does leave it would make Scotland want to leave the UK as well, is that wrong?

Edinburgh votes Remain: 74.4 per cent In compared to 25.6 per cent Out (187,792 to 64,498).

leaving is currently winning. gtf out my english brothers. its a traaaaaaappppppppppp.

yeah, if Scotland vote to stay(which it looks like we will resoundingly) and we are dragged out, it will trigger an uprising from the Independence supporters for another referendum.
