International BREXIT: Leave/Remain Referendum on June 23 Will Change Europe, No Matter the Outcome.

There's a pretty significant difference between being an immigrant, and being a refugee. Won't you agree?

Of course, I agree, but that was also my point. Why expend energy on pointing out that the sky is blue? So many words for such common-sense nuances...the road you are walking down is very much a didactic one. You must still be at university; your concerns are laboratorial.

I live in the real world where women and children are being raped and men are being publicly shamed for thinking they had a right to protect their own families and surnames. Shame on you.

Besides, the second part of my point was that, you shouldn't point fingers at the EU for refugee quotas.
You should point fingers at your government, for signing an agreement in which they have accepted those quotas.

Yes, I read your point, and then I left candyland where countries exist and act in clinical isolation to one another without any pressure, ultimata or threats to mitigate their own identities and sovereignty.

No more homework for you; have a good midsommarfirande.

Predictions?

I've said all along that it would take a miracle for Brexit to succeed, even though I'd like to see it happen. But I'm sticking with my gut even if it isn't my personal choice.

Remain 53%, leave 47%.

Remain will most likely win. Voters (especially younsters and millennials) care more about money, the promise of goodies and trinkets and fear of of them being taken away, than they do about people and freedom.

Thats true as all the posh houses and well to do have remain posters in but go to a poor area and council estate and it's all leave.
Can't stand the champagne socialist.

When people are scared they tend to not make changes and the Remain camp has done little but publish a new scare story every day which the press have dutifully reported.

When they get into the polling booths to make their mark, most of the undecided will vote remain out of fear. Remain will win c. 53% or maybe more I think.

And then we'll find we've played our trump card and now have little to no negotiating powers to stop even more integration. On this level, it would have been better not to have the referendum at all. However within the UK I'm hoping that having nearly 50% of the population show their unhappiness, that better attempts to alter the EU will be made and ideally, a less pro-EU party will have a better chance of winning an general election.
This is how I feel.

I vote to remain, is a mandate for the EU to tighten its grip on us and own us forever. We are going to be Angela Merkel's bitch ... and people are voting for it.

Whichever we vote, it is a vote into the unknown. Turkey will be joining soon and the EU army and treasury will be forming ... then there really is no getting out.

Millenials care more about not offending muslims and immigrants above all else. Weak.

The champagne socialists, lefty elites like to put the working class Brits down by calling them lazy and feckless and bang on about how they can get their houses done up cheaply by "hard working Poles" etc.

The future is bright ... the future is segregated:

The sad thing is, the majority of Britain will vote remain to jump on their high horses and "not to look racist/bigoted" ... This will only empower the truly illiberal and intolerant. It will get worse. This world is actually so stupid sometimes, it's funny .... can't help but laugh at it all.

I'm really curious how close this vote will be.
The fear mongering and doomsayers have been off the charts.

Anyone would think the UK would become some kind of dystopian, post-apocalyptic society after Friday

Things are looking more dire everyday. The left just keeps winning almost everywhere. Canada is stuck with an SJW Prime Minister (Trudeau). Hillary Clinton is likely to win the presidency. Britain will probably remain with the EU, and the left is easily dominating the media and culture war. The left don't even have to argue with facts, they just have to say, "that sounds a little too right wing" and people will do the left's bidding.

Strange days, indeed. :(:(

I'm guessing +5-6% Remain.

Should be interesting either way.
You've seen pretty interested in this topic. What makes a guy from Tennessee so vested in this?

From my well educated friends I have living in the UK, I've gathered both sides have gone off the charts with fear mongering. They of course are in the remain side, but admit to both sides going full gloom and doom.

In America, the neocons and Tea Partiers really hurt the political right and left them in shambles. The void is being filled with madness.
