I can understand the sentiment based on the short term, and I don't know the relationship between England and Scotland well enough to really comment on that..

think of everything the Leave campaign was bitching about in the run up to the referendum. getting sovereignty back, an undemocratic system where our voices are not heard. well think worse, and thats Englands role over Scotland. They wont allow us to have basic control over our own natural resources, they hand us a budget every year that is well below what we bring in. think about if your neighbour got all your wages, then gave you pocket money from it.... but kept the rest. That dick of a neighbour is the UK government and Scotlands had enough

In terms of your basic immigration policy? In terms of your basic economic stance? I mean really these should have been the things discussed, but I've seen nothing.
So you've voted "no confidence" in your political leadership and the EU, but now what? Are you going to get lead around by clowns like Farage and Johnson when they can't even articulate meaningful policy? I mean Johnson was crowing about the "manufacturing success" of JCB and Dyson, but I'm pretty damn sure Dyson has moved it's major manufacturing operations to Singapore, Malaysia and China. Johnson makes some protectionist noises, but supports neoliberal economics and rails against the "protectionism" of the EU. Vacuous populism isn't an economic strategy.

Anyway, the UK doesn't exist. It's called Westminster, London and then England. The people of England vote on what happens up here without us being able to veto it. This vote proves the great divide in our countries and our values.
Scotland does not want to leave the EU but we do not have the numbers to control our own country via a democratic vote. Westminster was not built upon being fair and just. They lie, they steal and they cater to the rich. The working people are not priority and the working people of England's hat are even less.

Yeah my local radio this morning said the same thing. They also linked it to Trump.

Globalist power brokers despise nationalism, sovereignty, and anything that resists their supranational superstate they want to build to manage the proles.

Demonizing and dehumanizing resistance seem to be a big part of the strategy.

but, it sounds like you are voting to remain for similar reasons as why so many English voted to leave. At the end of the day people want a say in the direction their homelands are managed.

As the immigration thing, there is much to indicate that the EU will be bringing in large numbers (millions) of new immigrants of all kinds constantly and they will want to put them where they please within the EU. Ceding control of such things over to Brussels is a very big gamble in that regard.

and we arent trying to keep the English and Welsh in Europe if they dont want to be there, but that doesnt give them the right to force us to leave when there is a democratic mandate in the entire nation to remain a member. it inevitably will lead to talk of Scottish Independence
