Well it's a matter of getting your voices heard and interests represented. The population of the EU is larger than that of the UK so that means the voices are smaller.

It's ok I suppose if you agree with the EU stances and direction already, but if they take a turn then the same issue applies.

thats the thing, most of the laws the EU mandates Scotland either agree with.... or have no issue with. Immigration isnt a problem in Scotland, we appreciate the European court for protecting our rights from the right wing Tories. Also we probably receive more investment from the EU than we do from Westminster(dont quote me on that one tho)

It was exciting as hell, with the scale constantly shifting with every city, and the market (the value of the Pound, notably) and betting odds responded in real time. The mood from each camp changing every minute making it that much fun to watch!

I can understand the sentiment based on the short term, and I don't know the relationship between England and Scotland well enough to really comment on that.

but, it sounds like you are voting to remain for similar reasons as why so many English voted to leave. At the end of the day people want a say in the direction their homelands are managed.

As the immigration thing, there is much to indicate that the EU will be bringing in large numbers (millions) of new immigrants of all kinds constantly and they will want to put them where they please within the EU. Ceding control of such things over to Brussels is a very big gamble in that regard.

I feel that Brexit will backfire badly. I remember one of the arguments that influenced the Scottish Independence referendum outcome was that Scotland could be excluded from the EU if it seceded from the UK.
