Brendan Schaub: UFC 225 will sell “in the low 700(K)s” PPVs

numbers aint out yet... and i dont feel like he was wrong for assuming it would do this well. really good card on paper, too bad the ppv didnt deliver.

I think the ufc blew their load on this card. A lot of the prelim fights could of been used for other events as fillers for their main-card..

To be honest I was thinking it will do good, well not like him but I was thinking 400~450k good in this current times would have been great.

This 150k speculated number is so low.. ouch.

He has completely switched to an entertainment apologist. Always playing the devil's advocate on Joe's podcast and things talking about "what's best for business". I don't really like it.

And where are his fucking sources? My unsourced guess would be between 300,000 to 400,000. Maybe tree fiddy.

I felt same way, I figured 400-500k on such a stacked card, but under 200k? Terrible. The PPV model is in rough shape without Conor, Rhonda, Jones or Lesnar.

That was around the number I was thinking if it was Jones/Stipe. DC ain't Jones so 500K would be an over achievement, probably something like 350K.

does 400k max

Brendan 'full of shit' Schaub needs to shut up

Punk 0-1 isn't a huge draw
they watched him the first time and laughed

Just sitting around waiting for a legit source give out the real numbers...

I thought it was established that for someone in his position he has very little insight into both fighting and the industry around it. Now if he was just trolling all these years then god bless I respect the hustle

you mean all those guys saying "cOlByS hEeL aCt iS wOrKiNg" to validate parroting all that inbred behavior..

WERE WRONG?!

say it aint so!!!!!

Imma go 400k, and they should be ecstatic.

Card sounded great on paper. I think alot of people overestimated what Punk would bring in terms of viewership.

NO card in recent years has done that well without featuring a legit 'star' headliner (and 'star' means Conor, Brock, Ronda, Jones, Silva, or GSP) and this card, as 'stacked' as it was for hardcore fans, featured no such star.

Schaub should know better.
