Brendan probably has CTE and helped give Carwin CTE ...says Carwin cant hold a job now

Its easier to believe that you are dumb because of head trauma than just come to terms that you were born dumb.
Nah, he's always been dumb, and hanging with Rogan only enabled him to stay that way sir lol.

No clue if AbuSchaubi is telling the truth here (probably isn’t) but Carwin’s story is a sad one. A real shame there is no one looking out for the guys who spill their blood for us—while the rich get richer.
He's been telling the story like this for about ten years about the headaches and throwing up from hard sparring with Carwin and I can believe it with how hard Carwin hit.

Schaubs probably scared he's gonna end up the same way.

I apologize for making this thread since its been brought up several times its a copy of several of the same topic. The search I did did not bring them up.

I mean… Dana does have a lot more money than any human being will ever possibly need..
The idea of capitalism truly succeeding is that the big winners have the capacity to be an ethical example and being caring about those with less.
What we have in place in the US isn't true capitalism. Just corrupt capitalism, just like our corrupt govt that allows it.

And the worst part about it is all these exemplary exceptional individuals priding themselves on that

Dude is happier losing at blackjack than helping someone
Might actually be better for humanity losing the money at blackjack then rewarding grown men for dumb gym challenges!
Should we throw some millions to the people hurt playing chicken with their cars too? Fuck poor and unlucky people!
Let´s put everything into a fund promoting retarded behavior instead!

The "idea of capitalism" is that everybody has a shot at economic individualism. There's no code of ethics saying that if you succeed you have to give away money to guys like Brendan Schaub (thank fuck).

I don't think there's any such thing as "true" capitalism. Capitalism is just the notion that goods and services have monetary value, and that a nation's economy is built upon the constant making of voluntary transactions among its citizens.

Wherever that simple concept develops is guided by the morality or corruption of the people adapting it. In modern times, with human nature as it is, yes, you need regulation to prevent monopolies, company towns, and the like. But that only shows that greedy people make for greedy capitalism, not that such a state is "corrupt" or not "true" capitalism.

play stupid games win stupid prices. At least get your cte in competition. Also Shane, God bless him, has been on substances, which is obvious but he also talked about it. Lol do you guys remember what he looked like in his prime. Like a pro bodybuilder.

He can't work, but he has thousands to dump into mods for this goofy truck. Yeah, donate your money to pay for his low profile tires every year.

Im not sure we disagree sir. Im saying its easier for the ego to point to damage/accident than to just realize that he was just born dumb. I only would disagree with the Rogan part. Its not like there is a fix for that no book is gonna change what he is.

Carwin can't blame UFC for CTE, training like an idiot

So his so called great friend supposedly can’t put food on the table and you drive around in your lambo and ask someone else to give him money? Gtfo here

I agree, but if it wasn't for Rogan we really wouldn't have had to be subjected to his retardation for nearly as long sir lol.

Shane took very little damage in his UFC tenure. I would argue a guy like JDS took much more than Carwin ever saw in UFC action. This is a classic case of I sparred incorrectly, too frequently and ignored all the warning signs. Forgetting where you're going and or throwing up in a car after a sparring session at your local gym doesn't have much to do with the UFC in my opinion. Carwin had other options, he was an engineer. He chose to become a fighter, pretty much everyone on this earth understands the consequences

True he did bring me some entertaiment as there are a lot of videos making fun of him and his weird lies. I havent watched JRE in a while is he still on regularly?

It's a tough one.

There hasn't been much of a baseline for CTE until recently, so while it may SEEM obvious, no one knew the extent of CTE symptoms.

Chute Boxe is a great example: they just thought "train harder and you get tougher".

Train harder and get tougher would appear more common sense than something requiring the foresight of "oh, if I take these hits now, it pays dividends to neurons firing in the future".

I hope they win their lawsuit.

BUT....

I do think fighters should implement training systems like Tim Kennedy or GSP did: they know they're tough, so there was no reason to go hard in training. It was all about technique and getting it right.
It is common sense that if you get hit in the head a bunch it is going to damage your brain. This has been known for a long time. The issue now is that everyone wants to sue of try to find a way to get money from others for their own actions. In the end only the lawyers truly profits from these kinds of situations.

I guess they just wanted to make it to the top badly enough, but wouldn't you think that sparring hard enough to vomit and not being able to find your own house would be a bit alarming and make you rethink the training?

I haven't watched a Rogan podcast in about 8 years so I have no idea sir lol.

You're right about some of the videos making fun of him though ;)
