I think the UFC. Would have taken him but he didn't really want if. He is bottom top 10 of a weak hw division - he ain't the best of anything. Ufc does have by farcthd best and deepest stable to fighters . Yes there are a few here an there in PFL RIZIN OR ONE. But combine all three an it still isn't close.

That said. EBlen, Hughes, Usman, Dakota, Vadim need be in UFC asap.
 
I did not anticipate it, but it makes perfect sense in hindsight. From a business perspective (which is what the UFC is), Jair was at the point he was a cost, rather than an asset. From a pleasure perspective, the fans do not seem to feel much loss. The only complaints are that it makes a weak HW Division weaker, which I disagree with. Change, and new fighters, is the only way to improve the HW Division, keeping the same old guys there is the problem, not the solution. The next generation of great heavyweights is out there, just gotta add new blood and make them fight it out to see who they are.
 
Rozenstruik sort of deserves it for how many boring fights he's made me watch. But still HW is so shallow he was a step above the fat slobs that keep getting added to the roster. Wonder what the whole story is on the cut.

Dude had a lot of staring contests in the cage, but he was top 10 and when he would pull the trigger it was usually lights out for his opponent or him.
 
Damn, that sucks.

Now the UFC Heavyweight division is even worse. He was a game fighter that had legit kickboxing skills and he fought a lot of the other top heavyweights. Come on now. They really dropped the ball on this one. Not too late to sign him back.
 
I thought he was still in the top 10 but hes not even ranked. Meh, I could have made a case for him if he was ranked.. at this point, not really. He was entertaining for a few fights. Good luck, Jairzinho!

He was ranked when he fought Pavlovich, they just removed him following his release.

It's clear Sergei chose to fight safe cos he had two losses, that sucked but what the fuck is Jarizinho's excuse to lose to a dude that never hurt him?
 
doesn't feel that long ago that he had just KOed AA, JDS and overeem and his only loss was to ngannou.

They are deeper, but still not signing the best fighters nor are they keeping the super elite fighters. It's a pity, but what can we do really.

And yes lots of fighters out there that could compete against best of the best in ufc.

All those guys could be champs.
