BREAKING: Donald Trump Jr.’s Russia emails shake the presidency ***UPDATE: Gowdy Excoriates Trump***

For collusion with a foreign government. I'm no legal expert and I've not fully digested everything here. The emails do seem to support Trump Jr's account to a large extent, and there's no evidence of a quid pro quo. That would be the real show stopper imo.

But working with a foreign government to get dirt on your opponent seems well out of bounds.
I don't know the law either Inga.

"I would be very curious if someone can tell me: what, precisely, is the "crime"?

Because if they're going to claim that being interested in potentially damaging information about a political opponent is a "crime", then every political campaign ever is a criminal enterprise. Also, there is no forbidden source from which to collect such information. A Russian lawyer is as good as a Zambian plumber; if they have possibly credible dirt on your political opponent, you meet them as a matter of course and listen to what they have to say. To do otherwise would be pure idiocy.

Some Dem operatives (Fusion GPS) hired a former British spy (Steele) to dig up dirt on Trump from Russian sources. Were they "colluding" with Russia and the UK by doing this? If not, why not? What is the difference exactly?"
I'd like to know as well, there's been a October surprise as long as I can remember

Jr. could have hid this easily, Julian Assange told him he would release the emails for him

thats also backs up wiki claims that they were not getting emails from Russia, they claimed all along theirs were from leaks

Breaks have shit to do with anything.

NOUN
  1. secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others:

What was done that was illegal?

the dude knew Russia was swaying the election, supporting one candidate over the other, interfering in a democratic process, all of those dudes did, the campaign manager, and they went in with open arms.

that's incriminating even if we don't have a definition, a single word, that frames the behavior.

Get fucking real

Doesn't that depend on your opposition from within?
If you are under a communist onslaught from within, against everything your nation was built upon, is it still not wise to bedfellow with outside nationalist interests? With all caution afforded, of coarse.
McCarthy was absolutely right and it shows today in glaring example.

I am not aware of a Communist party with power in the US. McCarthy was a bully who wasted time crucifying innocent people during 36 days of hearings. Please clarify what specifically he was correct about.

There is no situation that would justify American citizens seeking the help of a foreign power to influence an election. Our country is built on democracy which allows us to make decisions by voting, even bad ones.

Reading through this thread, I hate to say, that most everyone heavily underestimates the corruption in our government system.
It's all there to see, just redo your history lessons with FOIA stuff from the past 80 years.
There really are no parties, the things that get exposed as crime are skimming the top of what is really going on and it is all there in plane sight.
Keep sucking that media tit into complete retarded oblivion, or read a little if you really give a shit.
(Hats off to @IDL)

Podesta's syphilis must be flaring up again because what he said makes no sense. Assange wanted the emails, not permission. If he had them, he would have leaked them. Did John :eek::eek::eek:sta forget that Wikileaks came to fame because of repeatedly blasting Bush?

Name the crime. What's the statute?

Assange ask for copies of the emails and said he wanted to be the one to release them

It's not even the real Podesta.

Does me not being able to name the crime preclude the possibility that Don Jr.'s behavior will lead to incrimination?

Nope.

This is awfully bad for Don Jr. and Donald himself. Legal experts are already claiming its incriminating.

Sooooooo

So this will lead to impeachment and charges?
Eventually. The republicans are proving to be quite the cowardly lions on the issue but once Dems get the house in 2018 they'll impeach. It'd make sense for the repubs to turn on him though before their brand is irreparably poisoned.

It's going to be four years of talking about impeachment and nothing will happen.

He will be reelected though, you whiny babies will insure that.

You'll scream "literally Hitler" until you're blue in the face for another four years.

By then, the world will know the dangers of liberalism and it'll be the GOP for decades in the US while the rest of the world burns.

Clear your partisan mind, look at what led up to McCarthy's actions (laws passed by the dems) read all of the documentation that compromised the basis of his suspicions, read his, and others, predictions and look where we are now.
That's all I am askIng.

Lousy post-apocalyptic fan fiction right here.

It's not bad, and it's hardly newsworthy unless it substantiates a crime. There are attorneys that work for all of the major news networks, and they have been covering this story all day. Surely, one of them can name a statute that was violated.

It's not bad, huh?

Is Trump a good president?

You should look in the mirror. No one here is less able to handle disagreement. I've never even seen you in a productive discussion. 100% of your posts are about how angry and inadequate intelligent liberals make you feel. And you've never expressed an original thought or analyzed any issues. And you constantly embarrass yourself with slavish devotion to a buffoonish politician.

Lol @computer fogie came out of retirement just to like this post.
