I'll look it up. Not sure they ship to the EU without tariffs tho.
How did you even discover you were undermethylated? Blood work with histamine testing?
Did you feel results from the TMG ?
I'm using a mix topical glucosamine/MSM/capsaicin gel and I mix some collagen into it too and it's ok-yish for my knees and my hand. Will look up DMSO.
Thanks.
I got the idea from reading various longevity material. David Sinclair recommends supplementing with TMG if taking NMN as an example. It was always in the back of my mind.
I don't take NMN every day and so I thought I could get away with not taking TMG. However I take large amounts of melatonin for a few reasons and I have been experiencing some weird symptoms. On a hunch I looked up if melatonin could cause depletion of methyl groups and sure enough it can in an indirect manner.
I then tried taking TMG and sure enough a few of my symptoms just went away. TMG helps decrease homocysteine levels(inflammation). It helped eliminate weird symptoms of fatigue, anxiety and joint stiffness/soreness. It was so pronounced that I ruled out placebo effect.
My sleep quality improved. My joint stiffness improved. I can now sleep comfortably. I no longer wake up with my back randomly feeling stiff and sore for no reason like I pinched something. My fatigue decreased. My anxiety decreased. I was taking other supplements(Ashwagandha and Bocopa) to help reduce some of the symptoms.
I mention TMG because it's such an easily obtainable supplement, has secondary benefits, cheap and very safe. Even if it doesn't help it's not a big loss in the scheme of things. I was just surprised with how much it helped me. I honestly didn't even think about it in the scheme of all the common supplements. I was so impressed with how much it helped I ended up ordering a kilo of it from Bulksupplements on Amazon (which is in transit now).
I would also look into Methylene Blue. It has awesome anti-inflammatory properties and also amazing for energy(it's the single best supplement I've used). It's excellent with melatonin in combination. There's a lot of misinformation about it. It entered the public conscience when people saw RFK Jr putting drops of it into his water.
My preference is pill form for ease but drops allow for better control over dose. I started with the 1% drops from HeilTropfen on Amazon which is located in UK. I'd maybe get their 100ml bottle with a dropper first. I also got their 1 liter bottle(best price I found on Amazon 75-80$) but transferring it into smaller bottles is a hassle(only do it in the yard outside to avoid staining everything and use gloves) I started with 1 drop (0.5mg) and went up to 40-60 drops(20-30mg).
Many people find benefits in the 2.5-10mg range. I have tried several brands for pills and they work about as well as the drops. They are more expensive but far more convenient. The pills I got vary from 6 to 20mg per pill. I like the 20mg per pill I got recently on Amazon from TrueRush 60 pills for 19$.
If you go with drops they will turn your urine blue and because it's a dye it will stain everything so be careful. It's contraindicated with SSRI meds but unless you're taking very large doses it's likely still ok on smaller doses. I've had someone close take 12mg pills without an issue.
Glucosamine and MSM are good choices for joint pain/health. I used to take glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM supplement in the past for quite a few years. Glucosamine is separately being studied for longevity benefits.
