Amir Khan has expressed interest in switching over to MMA.
Conor and Mayweather want to box.
Cyborg wants to box too.
Anderson and Roy Jones want to box.
I'm sure there could be more Boxers who would want an MMA fight.

Is it possible that an event is created with a mixture of boxing and mma fights? Would sell extremely well.

Yes it would sell very well but too many selfish people involved to get it done.

It's already been done.

In any case, if this crazy thing actually happens someday, it would be the names selling most of it - Floyd, McGregor, etc. - and not the idea of a crossover.

I don't think it will happen though, the idea of Floyd, the Fertittas, and McGregor all walking away from a deal happy seems unlikely to me.

Hope I'm wrong though, it would be an amazing spectacle.

In an mma match any boxer would be provided with a healthy diet of balls in his mouth!

Would be nice... BUT:

1. Amir Khan has NO choice BUT to crossover to MMA with how badly Canelo laid him out... I was legitly worried for him and I'm a guy with a strong stomach.

2. Mayweather is just milking Conors 15 minutes of fame by pimping his name.

3. With how many people have #DUCKED her, Cyborg just wants to fight SOMEONE already.

4. Anderson and Roy seriously need to retire... Not many people interested in seeing them fight anyone now.

I could watch RJJ clown on nobodies all day. Please god, let there be another UR Fight show!

I dont believe it will happen cause there isnt a common ground, and both "sports" are allready at the top of combat sports ... it probably would spike public interest in the beggining but im not sure what either "sport" would gain in the long term , most probably it would prejudicate both.
Yet i could be wrong and i cant say im opposed to it

Khan jumped up 2 weight classes to fight Canelo. The fight was all about money. Everyone knew Khan had 0 chance to win that fight. Fans knew Khan would start out strong, but Canelo would end up catching him sooner or later and that's what exactly happened. Let's just hope Canelo's nuts grew some and he'll step in ring with Triple.

I want all of them to fight MMA with Rizin rules. Not really interested in watching MMA fighters box. But would love to see boxers fighting with MMA rules.

With the boxer vs mixed martial artist fights they should just use kickboxing rules. Keeps the fight standing for the boxer but allows the MMA fighter to use kicks. Would be interesting...

They should meet in the middle and have a kickboxing match.

I'd think it'd be cool to have the occassional boxing, kickboxing, judo, etc match as an exhibition, but having non-mmartists compete in mma would be pretty pointless IMO.

Apparently Nate and Nick expressed interest in boxing RJJ. Roy said he'd box them both. Then Nate said recently that he'd knock Mayweather out. Roy REALLY needs to retire already but he'd still outbox either Diaz brother and Nate stands no chance of knocking Mayweather out.

This shit is beyond ridiculous. They're completely different sports.

I want to see an all boxer grappling tournament.

I'd be more interested in seeing a PRIME boxer fight in mma vs a stand up fighter.

A fat out of prime and completely stationery boxer, up against a champion wrestler isn't really interesting.

Then if the boxer has success. Go from there.

Putting a fat stationery boxer against a wrestler is like putting anyone in mma against a boxer in a boxing match. The outcome is obvious.
