He'll get hate because he's from the boxing world but I think he's absolutely correct.

his sport's best fights of the last 5 years have all been bankrolled by the saudis.
come @ me when you have a business to keep running without oil money handouts
<36>

Lol UFC is headed down the exact same road except without the big names. Didn’t the Saudis foot most of the bill for the sphere card and Dana was still bitching, crying and moaning afterwards that it cost to much?

He's right. But what makes this problem so harmful is that they don't try to do it by growing the brand bigger than their stars, but by keeping the fighters small and in their place.

You mean a American billionaire company only cares about it growth at the expenseof its emoyees.... Nuhh ahh.. u don't say

P.S. Izzy, Alex Pereira, Sean O'Malley, Islam, Dustin P, Max Holloway, Jon Jones ( took me this long to name him sorry), Tom Aspinall,

My bad that's 8 went 2 over

It's true.. ask Dana White if that is a problem though.. ask his bank account if that is a problem for him lol

It's true, Dana is building a company. He couldn't care less about the fighters. That's why they make peanuts and have short careers with no pensions or benefits when they retire. It's a smart way to do business.

Boxing has it's own set of problems.

Eddie's right. UFC taking the WWE route, easiest way to monopolize.
The funniest thing is that the only reason they aren't a monopoly is because they do and have had competition over the years, they're just the most inept people on the planet.

It's so bad people don't say u wanna train mma bro? They say do you train ufc bro?

I mean we have that same problem. How many dream matches have we missed out on, or still waiting to happen
Boxing is much worse tho. Show up with a brinks truck full of cash or you'll NEVER see two guys with undefeated records fighting each other.

Word. I mean, he has a (Saudi oil-money fueled) point, but . . . that's a problem for the casuals. There are dozens upon dozens of fighters that I follow, and dozens more that I root for. If some casual can't name 5 fighters they like or think are awesome....... [shrug].....that`s on them? UFC is in no danger of going broke, so I'm not worried. It is a bit of a bummer that U Fight Cheap is also going the way of the Saudi blood/oil money, though.

I don't know if it makes sense but people wanting to watch the UFC and not a specific big star, it's good because there's more chances for the public to watch the whole event, and not that specific fighter.

obviously it's good to have stars, but it's not something that makes the UFC dependent of any specific fighter.

sometimes there's cards with a lot of "no names" and delivers it, while some cards with "names" didn't make it for the people watching.

Yeah I’m cool with the sport I love not being filled with overpaid “superstars”.
