Boxing Discussion VIII

Miller sucks all these yankd tonight have looked shite. Lets see how good jacobs looks

it could be tough for tennyson to win a decision but i still think he has value at +270. do you think the line is going to move?

I think +270 is probably about as high as it'll go, I can't imagine it going any higher but also struggle to see any decent money come in on him so I'd think it will stay around the 3.50 - 3.70 area.

thanks, there will be live betting, probably going to hedge with ward decision at hopefully +125

going to lay the juice and bet ryder -140

both matchroom fighters, ryder a legit 168 who arguably beat fieliding and stopped nielsen while coxs whole claim to fame at 168 is haivng two good rounds against groves before getting kod

Really intrigued by Ryder Cox think im gonna lb it. Ryder looked good last fight no? But i remember in the past he has disappointed me.

bellew tko/ko/dq +400, rds 7-12 +750, plan on live betting bellew if he can get out of the first four rounds without taking too much damage

i think this guy sums up david hayes situation pretty well....on the face of it the summation is worse than sergio martinez prior to his fight with miguel cotto

A fighter has to quit boxing 5-6 years ago after a shoulder reconstruction. This surgery has resulted in this fighter being unable to throw a proper straight right. Despite this, said fighter decides to come back. Since 2012, this fighter has had approximately 40 minutes ring time, in which 33 minutes were spent with an achilles problem which eventually ruptured mid fight. This fighter has since had to have surgery and rehabilitation on his achilles and further to that, surgery on his bicep. He’s also 37, and in his prime was an explosive puncher who relied on his speed, timing, accuracy and power. All of which have been blunted by ring inactivity and injuries.

If you read this above and you had no idea who Haye was, you would say this fighter was finished. I know this isn’t a popular thing to say, but a dislike of Tony Bellew as a person, coupled with nostalgia and fondness for a once excellent cruiserweight and a pretty decent heavyweight, is clouding some people’s judgement hugely here.

I'd really like good odds on Haye to be knocked down as well.
Betway has that prop +250 which seems great value, but I don't have an account with them.

Took 1u on Bellew itd +430 and 0.25u on Bellew 7-12 +700

Edit : Just found Haye to be knocked down +300 with betsafe. Crazy price. Took 1.5u

i saw that prop but i think that if haye gets knocked down it will in all likelihood be because his body has given way and he will end up getting stopped so i went with the +400 instead.

with all his injuries he could also quit on his stool incapable of continiung or the corner throwing in the towel while he never visits the canvas. also, you can theoretically hedge a stoppage win with decision in live betting should haye be a shell of his former self and a bellew domination going into thesecond half of the fight where he is clearly ahead on the cards

there are a lot of videos of haye training, slimmed down, but i have yet to see him actually in the ring doing any hard sparring. it might just be me but he looked noticeably smaller in the shoulder areas.

I think you guys are insane for considering anything involving Bellew getting on top.

I find it hard to believe Haye has regressed so much to the point that he can’t beat a domestic level at best fighter in Tony Bellew.

I think Haye will win by stoppage inside 7 or something...

Last time most people said that Bellew had no chance and I won on him at +500. I had watched the Countdown show and the press conferences and the weigh-ins and it seems like most everyone completely ignored the non-stop talk of Haye's leg injury and supposedly secret stem cell treatments in Germany and ignored the multiple times Bellew asked and re-asked Haye to confirm at the press conferences that he was healthy and fit so that he would have no excuses. It was patently obvious to me that Bellew knew very well about the seriousness of Haye's injury and he publicly painted Haye into a corner by making him say he wasn't injured. Sure enough, after his leg gave out and he got TKOed Haye didn't make an excuse in the post-fight interview. I mention all that because going into this rematch injury prone Haye's fitness is a significant wildcard once again and could play a major factor in the fight.

Normally, I dislike betting rematches at worse odds than the first fight where I bet the underdog and won the first time. But I got over that in the Rungvisai/Chocolatito rematch to profit again on the underdog and I am going to do so here. I don't care if it's another injury stoppage with his leg or shoulder, a DQ, whatever- I think Bellew could potentially win this fight again. So far I put a little stab on Bellew in round 7-12 at +700, Bellew to get a knockdown at +274 and am waiting to see if I get matched on my Bellew ML and KO/TKO/DQ wagers at one of the BTC exchanges at better odds than what 5D is currently offering.

Did you not see how horrible Haye looked before his leg fell off? He was swinging and whiffing like an amateur. He's done

I like Haye points +550. Believe he had an injury going into the last fight and was still outboxing Bellew until his achilles snapped. Going to the fight and don't like Bellew so don't mind if he gets KO but can see Haye who is worried about his body breaking down playing it cautiously and looked like Bellew with the extra weight could at least hold a shot at heavyweight.

I watched their first fight last night and people betting Bellew must be worried Haye shows up with 2 working legs this time? He couldn't put him away against the ropes, unable to move until that late. I was planning Bellew ML but I'm passing now. I think O7.5 rounds at -110 might be the smarter play.

i bought some spilt decisons at 35/1 and 40/1

if it goes to the cards both matchroom and haye are promoting the fight so they will in all likelihood each have a judge in their corner

ryan garcia 10 round decision +180

going to take a chance on velez fighitng to protect his never been kod record

Bellew already beat Haye lol. The Achilles injury definitely helped Bellew dont get me wrong, but Bellew has already eaten Hayes best shot and then some, And now its 13 months later after a serious surgery. I do not expect Haye to give the same type of effort.

Please guys ffs, Haye was up 4-1 in rounds then the injury occurred and it still took Bellew 5 rounds to get a one legged man out of there!

Honestly you are all relying on the injury being the biggest factor again!

IF the injury or another injury limits Haye again then yes, Bellew will win, but if there’s no injury then he should dispose of Bellew pretty easily.
