Boxing Discussion VIII

Taking Santiago as dog vs Martinez. Risky since poor hometown judging cost Santiago in their first fight, win it being awarded a majority draw after 8 rounds. Hopefully now over 10 rounds Santiago can get his revenge.

It's risky so not tipped it with much confidence but the odds are too good to pass considering the first fight.

jose martinez is a miguel cotto fighter fighting on a miguel cotto promotion in puerto rico with in all likelihood three puerto rican judges along with a puerto rican referee

i had a bad day today but im not going to make it worse

Taking the chance, if he looks better this time I'm hoping they won't be so blatant again, they probably will be but hey ho, down on boxing tonight but well up on MMA.

Damn I feel sorry for anyone that takes tips from this thread

Losing every bet you make and then saying you hedged out on your losses everytime. Meanwhile ignorant bettors actually follow your tips and lose money, it's very misleading.

No disrespect but you should at least let people know that you are not a winner or show your losing record, otherwise they will follow you blindly because you have a boxing avatar and talk a confident game. Please show respect.

LOL Crow has some stalker making all sorts of new accounts to talk shit.

Just when I thought I'd seen it all...

Sad.

Santiago robbed again apparently split draw

Yeah, sucks, money back so could be worse.

Been a trend at the moment, I'm having a fantastic weekend and then a poor weekend the next. Askin vs Simmons card was great, this was poor, hopefully next week is a lot better. Going to definitely avoid betting every fight, silly at times when you're in profit to bet the next fight purely because you're up even if you have no real lean, which I'm very guilty of doing.

As for the alt troll accounts, it's very sad but at the end of the day I'm not bothered. I was very big on Askin TKO last weekend, done a small write up telling everyone why I like it and it lands within 2 rounds. Weekend before, Glenn Foot @ 3.05 and his TKO line @ 7.50, Ritson TKO against Murray @ 2.83.... of course I have losers too, I'm not someone who claims to do this a job, I just enjoy betting on MMA and Boxing, have done for years and have definitely made more than I've lost. I don't record every bet I have, it's not a huge thing to me, it's just something I enjoy. I can see a point if I was charging for tips and pretending to be some sort of professional tipster service, which as I said before, I'm not. If someone asks for my opinion I'll try help, if I say in this thread what I'm on it doesn't mean I'm telling anyone else they should be, nor do I argue against someone else's selection.

As for the hedging bets, most of the time I do try hedge pre fight for an outcome at higher odds usually that could ruin my initial bet. I was pretty big on Buglioni ML, but as I said in my small breakdown of it- Johnson's real chance is to catch Buglioni early..... so of course Johnson rounds 1-3 makes sense @ 11.00 as a small cover; it was still a significant loss but it helps cover it a little. I presume this is the same alt account to who tried claim my Cage Warriors bets didn't exist since I landed 4/5, 3 of them being dogs.... until I posted the slip and shut up.

Like I said, I feel crap if my bet loses and others tailed me, but I don't claim to win them all or be an "expert.."

AJ +500 by decision. Over 6.5 -115 and 7.5 +150 (bet this a while ago). Fingers crossed no early finish!!

i bought aj by any dec at +550 two weeks ago as well as parker by any decision at +2800. josephs team was able to get an italian ref and an aussie judge to go against ajs uk judge and what could be a supposed nuetral american judge. i like that over 6.5 as well.

parker said that he is coming in light but i think his best shot is to throw a one two and then clinch and hold ala johhny ruiz to get the fight into the 7th round and then use his speed and footwork to get it to the 12th. i dont think he has the footwork to evade ajs bombs for 12 rounds.

You don't need to explain or justify yourself to silly trolls just trying to pick fights here.

Whether you were 100-0 or 0-100, people are responsible for their own bets. You offer analysis and insight and then it's up to each person what to do with their own $. I know you aren't sweating it at all, just wanted to give a word of encouragement. I don't know what constitutes an "expert", but it's obvious to anyone with a brain that you know the sport of boxing very well. Do what you do brother, and ignore the few children out there with nothing better to do than start shit for no reason.

is david price even worth a stab or is he going to explode like a tomato can as usual?

Thanks buddy, appreciate the kind words! Big fan of your MMA insight and analysis. :)

This boxing thread > UFC betting threads. If everyone just ignores the trash and we can keep it that way

Keep up the good work

Didn't bet the Whyte fight but would have leaned Whyte decision, Browne just looked totally washed-up and/or off the juice, could tell by the end of Round 1 he was finished but given heavyweights have longer careers than other weights, not something you could really have foreseen.

Like the look of Burnett by dec. Seven in a row by decision which all occurred once he stepped up in class. Any thoughts? Also Kelly decision +150. What do we think?

At Betsafe for boxing you can choose winner: Fighter 1 / X (Draw) / Fighter 2 and underneath it you can choose winner: Fighter 1 and Fighter 2 for lesser odds without the possibility of choosing X (draw).

If you bet on the lesser odds does this mean that if it's a draw you get your money back?

for the most part, whenever a draw is offered its a three-way bet and the money line loses in the event of a draw and sometimes a no contest, depending on the book

on the exchange, if you want the ml, no contest and draw then bet the lay as opposed to the back
