Boxing Discussion VI

Playing some on Iran Diaz tonight too against Luis Concepcion. Concepcion is rightfully the fav but Diaz shouldn't be 5.00 here and has a chance to win.

Not seen the Jones fight yet so will reserve judgement, Jones ML @1.83 loses but the under 9.5 rounds lands @2.50.

Also, Diaz tipped @5.00 won a UD against Concepcion.

Kubo got stopped by Roman. Meh night overall 2-2, need to calculate totals but probably just broke even with the Diaz play saving it.

Bollocks 0/2 on boxing. Oh well werent big bets and i won 5k on ufc so its fine.

in the fifth round they cut it short by 20 seconds or so when it appeared that margarito was hurt by a jones right/left combination. dont know who exactly rang the bell but its safe to say it was someone of mexican descent

almost as bad as the ahmet oner fukery when he rang the bell with 1:35 left to save his fighter airich who was about to be kod.

wow shady stuff.. i have noticed that shit too on some uk cards when there fighters are hurt they just ring the bell early or if they are about to get the ko they just let it go longer lol

Though so many people are on GGG over Canelo, does anyone think putting down on Canelo is worth it just because is it more than obvious that the promotors want him to win this one? If this fight goes to a close decision, please tell me why they would give it to GGG????????

After watching tape damn near all night I've completely flip flopped on Canelo-GGG

I'm on GGG now and actually like him a lot.

#1. Jacobs supposedly came in at like 180 for their fight. And the guy hits like a Mac truck but GGG ate his shots like candy. I have a weird feeling GGG is gonna walk right through Canelos offense.

#2. GGG pushes a ridiculous pace and Canelo loves to hang on the ropes because if he moves around to much he'll tire.

#3. Canelo moving up and fighting a bigger guy will not help his stamina. Maybe not cutting will but GGG is gonna be in his face constantly. Canelo is used to being the bully and I just don't think he can bully GGG.

I'm weary of bad judging. But at this time I'm either passing or hitting GGG

I'm starting to feel the same way. Simply ggg too big

I like my fellow romanian Ronald Gavril as a big dog vs Benavidez. He's +800 now at Unibet and I think he has a decent chance. He's also been training at Mayweather gym for about 4 years now.

I can't look past Benavidez at all here, he is going to be huge and Gavril really isn't impressive from any of the fights of his I've watched, I'd say Porky Medina was a better opponent than Gavril. Mid rounds TKO for Benavidez.

cuadras +170

carlos physically has the skills to get the win, hes just sometimes lacks mental focus. i think hes a dog here because of his recent fight against carmona but if the guy who fought roman shows up this fight is a pick em.

also, i think carlos could get the decision(with his footwork, speed and output i dont see estrada getting a stoppage) as juans promoter is zanfer(co-promoter of the fight)and i dont believe teiken is going to allow their fighter to suffer the same fukery that carson dealt with against margarito last weekend

I have Canelo +150. Think he's the better boxer whose faced better comp and is still very young so should be continuing to improve.

Of course I'm afraid of the size and power of GGG though.

Some great fights this weekend, the Wangek vs. Gonzalez II card is absolutely terrific featuring some of the best smaller guys in the world. Benavidez with the chance to become the youngest world titleholder in super middleweight division history on Friday. Quillin back in the ring, not that I expect any decent lines on whoever he faces as this is just "get some rounds in" fight but will be great to see how he looks under Virgil Hunter. Usyk vs Huck to start of the WBSS Cruiserweight Tournament. I already like some of the lines available, some aren't released yet so will wait to see what they look like before deciding all my final plays but I definitely think there's a high chance of solid profit this weekend. Can't forget Inoue's US debut too.
