Agreed. But by avoiding the power you mean clinching constantly. What if this is not allowed
I was thinking he'd use his footwork to stay at range or get in close to smother AJ's punches and sometimes clinch up close. I guess it depends on how aggressive the referee is about breaking it up.

Cr0w, you don't think Campbell stops this guy? I keep betting Campbell decision and he keeps stopping everyone lol!

Not currently, still got more fights to watch but I'll post in here closer to the time with my final bets.

I'm going to the Klitschko fight so I can't really take my own advice but this screams live-betting to me. Joshua is insanely explosive and dangerous for the first four rounds and then tends to slow down. Admittedly he may be more cautious here and fight at a slower pace, although I think his best gameplan is his usual one and to try to overwhelm an aging and inactive Klitschko early.

If the fight goes past round 4 and Joshua has used energy without seriously hurting Wlad, I'd bet Wlad. I'd also bet Wlad earlier if it becomes clear he has established his jab.

Pre-fight bets, might take Klitschko dec and Klitschko UD.

Do you think Wlad will stop him?

I think this is gonna end quick, whoever wins, so I'm basically counting on a quasi hedge here in case Joshua gets to the old man early. I really don't know where Wlad's at in his career right now, but I think he's got more in the tank than others seem to. Even if he doesn't and can't pull the trigger anymore, there's still a good possibility Joshua could ko him inside the 8.5 And yeah best case scenario we get a beautiful vintage right hand or lead hook from Wlad that wins me both bets :) I think if this goes the distance, Wlad probably did Wlad things and will get a Dec, if he loses I think it'll be by ko this time. I have a feeling this is gonna be a barn burner.

Joe Joyce has been AJ's main sparring partner, and rumour is he dropped AJ.

Heard that too, as well as numerous other stories of AJ getting dropped my other sparring partners. Think someone else posted it in this thread a few weeks back too. Albeit sparring stories aren't always true etc this is no doubt a big step up in opponent.

Are people not a bit concerned about Wlad's age here? He looked pretty shot in his last fight 18 months ago. He clearly doesn't like fighting outside Germany, now he's going to his opponents back yard to take on a man at his physical peak at 41 years of age. This is AJ's fight to lose surely?

Lampley and Kellerman made a good point on the new episode of The Fight Game on HBO- they couldn't think of a situation where an older heavyweight champion coming off a loss, inactivity or looking mediocre in his previous bouts has been able to defeat a young up and comer in his physical prime. They could scarcely think of a lighter weight champion that had done so, and certainly none over or even near forty years old. The more I think about it, I have to believe Joshua gets the stoppage, probably somewhere in the middle or late rounds and Klitschko retires. I went pretty big on Joshua ML at -198, Joshua KO/TKO/DQ or UD at -168, Joshua wins by TKO (not KO or DQ) at +230, Joshua wins in round 5-8 at +317 and the under 8½ rounds at +100.

Unibet has to be knocked down

Wlad: [email protected].

Joshua by KO is 1.67. Even if Joshua doesn't get the Ko, I believe he'll at lest hurt Wlad during the fight? Or?

Little stab on the co-main event dog on FS1 tonight. Let's see if The Wolf can finally come through as an underdog this time.

Levan Ghvamichava (+175) vs Oscar Molina $40.00 for $70.00

Quigg itd +160 looks good. His opponent has barely fought out of Romania and while hes never been stopped quigg is a big step up and hes 35. Quigg has a solid ko ratio for a feather. Im normally a dec bettor but this looks off to me.

Cr0w i need you to sell me on campbell dec. Crolla stopped his opponent so im not seeing why campbell wont?

this romanian guy has also fought his recent fights at a venue called "circus" lol. i wonder if that shit is a real circus - i couldn't find any info online. maybe pytcrys knows?

Hey guys. Yeah, Viorel Simion might not be the smartest of most technical boxers out there, but he is pretty tough. However, he has never fought an opponent like Quigg and he's on a decline due to his age. If Quigg wins, he'll go against Lee Selby who has defeated Simion by UD.
At a first glance, I think there is value in Quigg inside the distance because he has good KO power for a featherweight. However, I still need to watch tape, but at this point I surely do believe that Quigg has more chances at a stoppage than Lee Selby had.

@piglord
That arena was set-up on the ex-place of the biggest circus in Bucharest, from there the name. Pretty sad, though, having to rent a circus arena for a boxing event. Romanian level of dedication for the sport is absolutely zero. :)

Quigg has power at 125, there's no doubt about that. He starched Cayetano who LSC couldn't KO.

Good luck, I got the brow at +220 last night to win 1U.

I missed the opener you got unfortunately, but going into round 9 here, The Wolf appears to be winning this fight pretty clearly to me and on the unofficial tv scorecards. Looks like Molina coming down to 150 pounds sapped his strength for this one.
