Bow out gracefully Joe

Hes super famous and super popular, hes been there since the early days and is synonymous with ufc. He can stay there as long as he wants and he will. Ufc are happy with just his presence. Any other company would pay top dollar just for him to show up. He knows his s.it and has proved it thousands of times. Hes just a pundit

Used to be great but should have been replaced years ago. Obviously has too much going on to do his research. Calls the highest level MMA fights in the world in front of millions of people and treats it like a part time hobby. It's kinda preposterous.

can you blame him though? it basically was a hobby for him. he never needed UFC. on the contrary, he helped the UFC by literally volunteering for the job and bringing in some fame to the fledgling UFC.

Joe Rogan probably brings the ufc more people watching than whatever you guys think he detracts from commentating. You can have the most eloquent speaker who always gets it right, but he's not going to be near as popular as Joe Rogan.

the level of understanding of the fans have gone up and we recognize legitimate points made by fighters and recognize now the base level of knowledge rogan has. his ground game calls used to be good. now its just painfully obvious. when DC asked Joe about an instance in the lens of his tae kwon doe experience, it's just, what?! lol. joe needs to train again or something to develop that angle again.

Rogan taught me a lot back in the early days when it was just him and Goldy. But now it’s just getting embarrassing…nobody will call him out for ZERO prep work like Dom did with DC…and i get it, i’m sure he’s got way more on his plate on a day to day basis than he did 15 years ago…but dude, your just showing up and yelling random noises into the mic at this point…you’d think as much as he “constantly seeks self improvement” he’d see the writing on the wall…either be a professional and put SOME effort into your job, or bow out gracefully…he’s gonna stick around until uncle Dana leaves, just so he can say he left with White…pride goeth before the fall

…and another thing…why the 3 man commentary? Anik is the gold standard, but when have the other two, whoever they are, NOT talked over/interrupted/apologized for interrupting each other?
Joe Rohan is an iconic commentator, like it or not. It’s a shame ufc parted ways with godly because him and joe had awesome chemistry, Daniel as a commentator is insufferable

I basically agree. Unfortunately the positives might outweigh the negatives in this situation imo. Who has has either directly or indirectly brought more attention to the UFC? Doesn’t make it good or right, but what’s the alternative look like?

Joe would Bow you out with a couple spinning side kicks TS

(He’s sucked mega since he’s secured the bag, I’ll say that but he’s earned it)

<{cum@me}>

Rogan and DC together is comedy. Two blithering dolls clapping each other on the back. I feel like Anik is more alert and observant than either, but doesn't sant to disrespect them by contradicting them.
Those two definitely bring out the worst in each other. DC is much better when he isn't working with Rogan.

Nah, Goldy is the Gold standard

I don't normally hear the usual commentary, any highlights?

He's gotten really bad. His calls on the ground are near comical these days because they are often entirely wrong and the exact opposite occurs. I don't know if he's phoned it in or what, but it's not great for what is supposed to be the premier MMA promotion on the planet. Of course, maybe the recognition he brings is more important than his booth skills to the UFC. Most events he's involved with are a commentary train wreck.

Do you have many examples of him saying the wrong thing is happening on the ground? Seems like a massive exaggeration to me and I have no issue with a bit of Rogan bashing

I don't really care about who's in the commentary box, DC is fun and Joe brings the nostalgia but I do get sick of Joe completely overreacting by losing his shit to every single submission attempt or every single strike..."Oh he's hurt!" "He's rocked!" "It's tight!"

I don't think there's anybody to really replace him, I think it would be fun if they would rotate the commentary team more, I really wish they utilized Stephan Bonnar somehow in the UFC commentary or on a panel, I'll never understand why he was never given an opportunity, he was hilarious, whitty and knowledgeable.
It's not just about knowledge or experience. It's about entertainment.

Joe Is an entertainer.

People would complain a whole lot more about the commentary down the road If it was just a bunch of analysts breaking things down and anik.

Rogan adds a level of genuine excitement and passion which you aren't getting from anyone else.

That's why he does those things.

People complain but would miss him if he ever left. I don't think his role is understood very well or respected here.

Almost everyone loves rogan in the real world when it comes to the UFC. He's synonymous with the brand.

it all just seems like Karen esque nitpicking.

You can't go around saying things like "Anik is the gold standard" and not expect to get slapped for it.

Anik is fucking terrible. It's like he's Goldy's son that Goldy dropped a few too many times as a toddler
