Bought Persona 5 today

Took about a year but I began Persona 5 last night.

As expected, the writing, dialogue and voice acting are all really eye-rolling cringey to me. But, the game is hinting at a lot lying under the surface. I'm intrigued and will keep playing.

I've barely done anything. Met the school principal, and now it's my first Sunday in the game. Attic is cleaned up and ready to venture out into the city.

It does have the typical weird Anime/Jrpg dialogue that sometimes doesnt translate real well to typical American preferences, but stick with it, game opens up a lot as you go, and the gameplay is great.

Game is fun, but the pacing is absolute dogshit at some points and really killed it for me.

I finished the 4th palace and it feels like it's taking forever to actually get to the 5th, game picks up at some points but then slows right the fuck down again.

Palace 5, eh? Have fun. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the worst part of the game. It is a such a goddamn chore. It's the only part in the game, where I was tempted to throw in the towel. It's such a shitty dungeon. Especially the second half, where it decided to throw the dumbest, most obtuse puzzle into the mix, while you have to battle enemies that can wipe you out in a heartbeat, with save points so far away that it will just crush your spirit.

That palace still burns in my brain. Such a terrible part, to an otherwise great game.

Great game, just know going in that Persona games have a slow start introducing characters and mechanics. It's probably 5~6 hours before they really cut you loose.

Its brutally slow. I tried to get into this game but I was about 8 or so hours in STILL getting tutorial crap. I just lost interest in it due to the tremendously slow pacing.

Second best game I've ever played. It's so good it should be illegal. The last dungeon is disgustingly hard. That one motherfucker... Second last boss, owned me many many times. Be ready for him.
