RBR Boots vs Stanionis April 12th DAZN from Atlantic City

crawford has absolutely no interest fighting boots at 154 because boots isn't a title holder there. bud wants to unify. ennis has no leverage to get that fight, no matter what he does.

and if you think madrimov, murtazaliev and thurman will get him real fame and recognition, but stanionis won't, then we really have nothing to talk about here lol.
You sound really invested in this enormous “test”, hope you enjoy the fight at the very least. I’m think it won’t last long, Stan doesn’t appear to have the type power that’s gonna get Boots respect, imo. And I could easily reply why the fighters you listed, but if you say nothing to talk about, I’ll take your word for it because it’s all stuff I really feel I shouldn’t have to type out for a longtime boxing enthusiast like yourself.

Summarized, I don’t care for the pageantry of this “rise through 147”, it’s stalling for a while until the coast is clear, but if he was the thoroughbred he’s touted as the doors will open quickly enough if he takes 154 route, I don’t understand why I can’t criticize a fighter I used to like? No, respectfully it’s not good enough, not what I want to see out of a fighter barking names he’s been barking.

why are people complaining about this match?

stanionis is a belt holder, boots fighting him is better than squashing another mandatory. hopefully he gets to beat up barrios after, and then maybe by then norman will grow a pair and fight him too.
Do you give Stanionis a shot here?

i think he's got a fighting chance, but i expect boots to win and look good doing it.

it needs to be said that i also believe ennis beats up everyone at 147.
Ennis has looked hittable but he’s massive at 147 and has been able to take it so far.

yeah that's the main thing that bothers me with him, is that sometimes he's not defensively responsible. but to me it seems more like a conscious decision than a lack of ability, because when he's on point he's not a bad defensive fighter at all. he just seems to lack any respect for his opponent's power and goes into exchanges when he doesn't need to.

i expect him to respect stanionis' ability enough to not do it this time. i figure boots takes a clear cut UD here.

I’d like to bet the underdog on Stanionis but I don’t really see it either

I don’t know about Boots looking good doing it, he’s fought middling opposition for so long I don’t think he’s built the right habits to have dominant/clean wins against reputable competition. Deep down I think him and his dad knew they weren’t prepared for Virgil.

unless the odds are crazy, i don't think it's a smart bet. i mean it's boxing, maybe stanionis annihilates him, but i wouldn't put money on it.

we'll see soon enough. i think people will be saying stanionis wasn't any good after this one.

Plenty already saying so now.

I do … Stanionis is the best opponent Ennis has ever faced … boots got hit clean by Karen who is not a good boxer. I want to see how he reacts when a full WW like Eimantas hits him. Eimantas win vs Butaev was impressive. I think he is a live Dog imo

Stanionis is custom made for boots, much easier match up than tricky karen. No idea why staniosis is rated so high, barely ever fights and beaten nobody.

Stanionis has a shot. He beat Butaev and was a mandatory for a reason. Most of his inactivity was Ortiz and Golden Boy's fault. Easy guy to root for. Still picking Ennis by late stoppage.
