Meanwhile, China's growth has slowed to its lowest rate since 1996.

Yes, we're suffering due to the trade war, but so is China, worse than us, and I'm tired of spineless leaders who kick cans down the road. They need to be confronted now. In fact, what has confronting them done? It's instigated them into revealing their true nature in the front of the world. Goodbye ignorant Chinese apologists.

It's be nice if we'd stop kicking the climate change can down the road, but basically I want someone who accepts where the buck stops, and gets to crushing cans rather than kicking them.
The alternative to the trade war was continuing to lose tons of money to China and others forever. It's really common sense when you think about it, and yet it seems so uncommon for people to really "get it." I am super concerned at how many young people lack critical thinking skills. I think they have been purposely dumbing our youth down in the school systems for years because they want an obedient, permanent working class by way of Socialism. Unbelievable what is going on right now.

You're deliberately trying to not understand a very simple point. If you own a massive portion of the world's lithium supply,

Again, you dont own shit until its out of the ground and ready to ship, your own analogy proves it, back in 1940 the US produced the vast majority of the world's oil supply it didnt mattered if other nations had oil underground.

you can choose who to sell it to and at prices which are favorable to you. Market value is determined through negotiation between buyer and seller, and the value of lithium is increasing by 10% every year. With their lithium reserves nationalized, the Bolivian government was in a position to dictate terms favorable for them. That won't happen if it's a foreign corporation is extracting those resources and coordinating with a global supply chain.

No you dont, unless you have a huge marketshare which Bolivia doesnt has.

Bolivia is set to produce a massive portion of lithium in the future, and coincidentally there has been a coup supported by the West occurring right before this happens.

No, Bolivia isnt set to produce a massive portion of Lithium, that requires billions in investments, billions that Bolivia doesnt has so it will require foreign investors which in turn wont allow Bolivia to set prices.

"The Bolivian government—South America’s longest-standing populist regime—is vowing to make itself into a mineral-and-battery player using mainly its own engineers. Its pilot plant in Uyuni has produced close to 250 tons of lithium carbonate this year, and YLB said it can bring production to 150,000 tons within five years. This would make Bolivia one of the top-producing nations and the source of about 20 percent of the world’s lithium by 2022, according to Bloomberg NEF projections."

LOL at believing that far-fetched number.

OAS is a tool of American imperialism and have provided no evidence of electoral fraud, the onus is on you to supply this, which you haven't.

It was invited by Evo's government to audit it, and the auditors were from 18 different nations.

Apparently you think private corporations are incapable of speculating on future returns and making investments based on favorable investment environments (for them). An obvious example of your ideological blinders preventing you from understanding a very simple thing. Bolivia was creating domestic capacity for a lithium industry without leaning too heavily on foreign debt and natural resource extraction, which is one of the worst ways to structure your nation's economy. They had the assistance of China and other investors in this who don't rely on hard power, high interest rates on loans, and IMF restructuring of society on neoliberal models. That's an independence and advantage which is completely lost if your regime follows the path of debt slavery and private (and foreign) ownership of public resources.

LOL at believing your one-liners that you pull out of your ass. Keep em' coming, though. They're easy to refute.

So where is the evidence these auditors have provided of electoral fraud? Go on.

Still waiting for you to supply evidence, theirs, or yours. What's taking you?

Complete strawman i never said they didnt, i merely said that its ridiculous to think Bolivia which currently produces 250 tons of lithium (not even 1% of the world production) will suddenly become the Wakanda of Lithium.

This is so ironic.

Bolivia was creating domestic capacity for a lithium industry without leaning too heavily on foreign debt and natural resource extraction,

Bolivia wasnt doing it alone, they dont have the tech, they were inviting foreign companies.

which is one of the worst ways to structure your nation's economy.

Agreed, but its how socialists structure their economy, like Venezuela.

They had the assistance of China and other investors in this who don't rely on hard power, high interest rates on loans,

China low interest? right.

and IMF restructuring of society on neoliberal models.

IMF only wants to get paid, if your country is running an 8% deficit of course they are going to try and give you recommendations, you dont want that? then go and get other creditors.

That's an independence and advantage which is completely lost if your regime follows the path of debt slavery and private (and foreign) ownership of public resources.

You mean like how Rosftnet just took over Venezuelan oil company? or is it only imperialism when the west does it?

LOL at believing your one-liners that you pull out of your ass. Keep em' coming, though. They're easy to refute.

Keep believing Bolivia alone will somehow become a monpoly on Lithium in 5 years.

o where is the evidence these auditors have provided of electoral fraud? Go on.

Its in the OAS report.

Look at this dog's dinner of a reply. Learn how to structure an argument and provide evidence, or get the fuck out. No one wants to read your lazy, meaningless one-liners.

Shortly before the coup against Bolivia's Evo Morales, his government announced plans to nationalise the highly profitable lithium industry and to deal directly on the international market instead of exporting it at bargain prices to the West.

Global demand for lithium, used to make cell phone batteries, parts of laptops and electric cars, is expected to triple in the next 15 years and guess where the largest reserves in the world are?

Its not a dog of a reply you throw BS over BS without properly sourcing your statements.

The crime of the IMF is actually lending at too low interest rates, you dont lend to people who are bad with money, thats a no brainer.

Countries that could pay the IMF like Mexico dont need it, and countries that cant pay the IMF like Argentina default on it all the time.

Again

Reserves isnt the same as production.

You guys were saying the same shit about Venezuela, now nobody else gives a fuck about Venezuelan oil, they could have 1000x quintillions of oil reserves, taking shit out of the ground requires TECHNOLOGY and CAPITAL, shit that Bolivia doesnt has.

The success of Evo was precisely how cozy he was with foreign mining companies.

You sound weak, and tired. I think you better get some rest on your IMF apologia and learn how to pick battles you can actually win. Go sleep it off.

Completely irrelevant to the point at hand. Western corporations want to acquire these resources at any means necessary, even scorning democratic processes and sponsoring military coups. You can't see the forest through the trees.

“There is simply no statistical or evidentiary basis to dispute the vote count results showing that Evo Morales won in the first round,” CEPR Senior Policy Analyst, and coauthor of the paper, Guillaume Long said. “In the end, the official count, which is legally binding and completely transparent, with the tally sheets available online, closely matched the rapid count results.”

bunch of leftist articles, there’s a lot of vids on the web catching fraud live, you need to speak Spanish to understand them though...

Time for you to start linking them, then.

More context on the geopolitical stakes of Bolivia and electric vehicle & battery manufacturing, and why the West is so interested in ousting Morales while ignoring global protests in the rest of the world.

Again if the IMF is so evil why not put your debt on the market like countries that arent fucking broke do?

You sound like the guy that has all his credit cards maxed out and think the bank is evil.

Provide transcripts. All we see are boxes, arguments, and police.

im not about to translate anything man, that’s why I told you need to speak Spanish, the fact that you don’t doesn’t mean it didn’t happen

Wait are you saying that dealing with China is a good way of keeping your sovereignty and independence?
