Hooker just took the toughest match in the division on one month's notice to help save a PPV card (it was PPV in my country)....he deserves a favorable matchup next...not an unranked opponent.
LOL he doesn’t deserve anything after going winless in his last 3 fights. I like Dan but he’s skating on thin ice.

lol, all you guys thinking
1) the UFC gives a fuck if you do them a favor (in any significant way) and
2) that Hooker is some sort of star with drawing power that gives him leverage.

If he's 1 - 4 in his last 5, he's either cut or getting cut with 1 more. Please be serious.
How can you ask someone to be serious when at worst, at worst, Dan will still be in the Top 15 if he loses. lmao chopping block

He's ranked #8 right now. A loss to Green might not even take him out of the Top 15. UFC let BJ Penn lose like 8 in a row I think Hooker is fine. He usually puts on good fights whether he wins or loses.

Come on with the BJ stuff, BJ was a two division champion, legend of the sport and hall of fame pioneer. Stop it please.

Top 15 who's lost 4 of his last 5 fights ... not on the chopping block. Are you a kiwi or something? Cause that's the only thing that would explain this level of delusion.

It's just obvious Dana and the UFC like him. He gets big opportunities to get close to the belt and hangs out in the Top 10. Since you said please I won't mention BJ again.

You come across like someone who just looks up wins/losses and doesn't follow anything else that's going

Is that for real? Dude is a massive LW! It's hard to believe that's real, and if it is, it sounds like a really bad plan.

I agree with the losses vs win streak match up.
I have no special/inside information, I just saw a post taking about Dan doing a test cut and some debate about it.

I know nothing about Dan or his body but it doesn’t sound great from the outside.

They like that he takes fights, but if you don't move the needle and you don't win fights ... it won't matter. We'll see who's right soon enough.

I'm not opposed to the matchup I think it would be fun. Green looked good at the end of his fight against Fiziev, and he destroyed and retired Al.

But I think Hooker will be fighting Arman or Gregor next. Maybe Fiziev if Fiziev beats Riddell.
Hooker is ranked 8 right now, but they will likely pair him with someone ranked around him or lower. Green is still unranked. For Green's last performance, I think he should fight CDF, who is coming off of 2 losses but is ranked 11

would be a fun one, Bobby is on fire atm, Hooker the opposite, i'd rather see Hooker vs someone else coming of a lose such as Tony Ferguson.
Bobby Green vs Arman #13 or Joel #15 rankings respectively, Bobbys not even top 15, sadly doesn't deserve a fight with #8 just yet.
Facts, it’s a shame tho because he’s had some close decisions not go his way.

No way is he fighting for his job, he accepted a high risk fight that Dariush and Ferguson turned down...he's in UFC's good books, as he should
Yeah , Hookers employment is secure with UFC but it came at a price . Dan Hooker is your perfect example of a decent fighter that couldve ascended his talent but chose to make WME/ Dana happy at all costs in becoming an ultra fan friendly fighter. The Poirier fight alone took years off his career.

Hooker s nsme carries this psuedo reverence which will start dropping - if it hasnt happened already-.

Hes a top 15 fighter who should start taking fights where he can not only win but give his vessel a rest otherwise he will be out the door. He represents the cautionary tale of being a cage fighter / UFC

Remind me how many fights Stephens has won as of late, and that's whilst fighting in deep divisions like FW and LW.

If the UFC likes you, they're going to keep you longer than say, a Jared Rosholt type. Doubly so if you have a number next to your name.
