As the poll says...

Of course they get a good camp to prepare for each other. Let's say this would take place in three months.

Discuss.

You guys need to calm down on Bo and wait a little bit he could be the next Aaron pico for fuck sake.

I'm just asking a question, bud. Not insinuating anything other.

I don't like all these threads on bo pickle

We've had olympic tier wrestlers before, lets see what he can do against somebody not in the contender series

Bro Bo is just 3 fights into his pro career he needs time to build. As of now I'd see him losing easily but I guess he might be that much of a phenom but he hasn't fought literally anyone worth a damn. His next fights a nice step up though.

I'd take Bo, Ikrams really stiff and awkward standing, Bo seems to be pretty explosive and confident with his hands where I think Ikram has sorta accepted that part of his game will always be lacking at this point. I also think Ikram is too small for MW, he fought Khamzat at 175lbs and just looks visibly smaller than a lot of MWs, Bo has competed at 197lbs vs world class wrestlers and won.

But this would be a good test, I think Ikram is top 30 caliber MW. I think Bo is still 2 or 3 wins away from fighting a guy like this. He will be brought up pretty slowly, he even feels like it'll be 18-24 months from now before he contends for a title.

Bo wouldn't be able to manhandle Aliskerov in wrestling like he has everyone else, but based on what little we have seen of him - he seems like a real threat with explosive power on the feet... Ikram has good sound striking but I could see him getting dropped.

Complete speculation as Bo hasn't faced anyone close to as good as Ikram yet

This is what I'm saying. I like up and coming phenoms but I don't bandwagon jump like that either. Let's see what he can do against non corpses first before we start this 3-0 guy will take out proven fighters.

Aliskerov submits Bo in the 2nd round. I don’t think Khamzat beats Aliskerov if he doesn’t land that KO either.

I think Khamzat would beat him again. People put too much stock into him defending the takedowns, IMO. I don't think he fully committed to those takedowns, he just moved on once Ikram adjusted enough. It's going with the flow of the fight and that"s his style when he is on. Like he was flowing with Holland in his take down into submission. And how he went with the momentum that Hermansson was creating when he tried to take Khamzat down, and used it against Hermansson with his overhooks in. He makes very intelligent decisions. I think he'd beat Ikram in a similar fashion, but maybe with a different punch, or even knee or kick. Hopefully Khamzat is focussing enough on his arsenal of kicks. His head coach is a boxering coach, so not sure if he makes full use of his kicking potential. I know he also traimed a period in Thailand though.

It's just a simple question, though I guess I forgot the don't know option. Let's see if I can still fix it.

Well, then just vote Ikram. I welcome every opinion, bud.

Khamzat spends time at Tiger Muay between fights to sharpen up his striking. I think even this year he was out there putting work in. Also he trains with Guram and Till a lot, both are legitimately sound kickers, especially Guram. Khamzat always looks sharp in training videos and pad work, but he looked like crap early on in his career and vs Burns he was pretty damn reckless and wild too. He's got good handspeed and KO power though.

Hopefully the Colby fight happens, I think Colby can wrestle enough to force Khamzat to display his striking for extended periods of time and if Khamzat doesn't get Colby out of there quickly, Colby will definitely test his cardio too.

Yeah, but it's different having good strikers to train with than really having a coach implement a solid strategy to improve your striking. But I agree in Thailand he probably had some good guidance and coaching though. But still obviously very valuable to have good stand up training partners. But at the very highest level and with all the considerable talent coming onto the scene, you really want to adress every aspect of the game optimally. But fixing his head movement issue is his biggest concern anyway, so if I can see improvements in that area, I'll be more than happy.

I wouldn't pick another predominant wrestler/grappler over Bo unless they have good striking or elite BJJ. Ikram has neither of those things.

You don't think burns is?

It was kind of a draw, IMO. Blowing away a stylistic tough match up that was unbeaten and has gone unbeaten since, is more impressive than a sloppy performance that was more a draw than a clear W. Dude is a multiple time world Sambo champ, let's not forget and from Dagistan. Dude has been dealing with Khamzat's style of freestyle wrestling for the longest time, I imagine.
