Funny how spoiled games are now a days. A 30ish second load screen now equals issues. A 30ish second load screen way back when equaled going into a new room in Resident Evil.

Yeah games like skyrim had long loading screens with every area or building you entered. Still loved playing it at the time.

Damn it all. Had 30k souls and was just exploring. I went to the right of the Vicar Amelia fight, killed the hunters there and made my way down to a big cathedral type place with some kind of Altar in the center. Figured it might be a boss fight. Nope. Got grabbed by one of those damn invisible giants again. Didn't even see it coming.

Then immediately after that I accidentally shot the doll in the hunter's dream. Glad she didn't die or go aggro.

On to Byrgenworth now I guess.

Found a NPC on top of a roof and sent him to the Cathedral Ward.

That mother fucker ate the old lady I sent there!!! I went outside and started wailing on him and he turned into a huge werewolf boss like fight. That man is TOUGH.

Glad I killed him then. I noticed he was outside of the church and covered in blood so I figured he might be a enemy. The half man thing said evil couldn't enter the church or something so when I saw he was outside I knew it was on.

Witch of Hemwick easiest souls boss ever?

I think I missed out on a lot of NPCs. They all seem crazy now after vicar Amelia

Celestial Emissary is even easier, it's almost impossible to lose

I was curious so I watched other Witch of Hemwick fights and I literally had the easiest possible scenario. I was just casually fighting and equally distributed my attacks between the Witches so none of her minions ever really aggro'd. They just waltzed around the area like old women.

2) Gwynn (Dark Souls)
3) Man Eater (Demons Souls)
4) Fume Knight (Dark Souls 2)
5) Smough and Ornstein (Dark Souls)

#1 is easily 2nd boss in Defiled Pthumerian Chalice. It's an Abhorrent Beast and you have no HP. As far as DESIGNED challenges with no self imposed restrictions nothing else is even close. False King Allant is really easy with certain builds btw. Gwynn you can parry riposte one shot as well.

Out of the bosses you listed I'd say False King took me the most tries the first time around though. Orn and Smo took me 3 tries first playthrough.

Holy hell forbidden woods is long. Found two shortcuts and still have a way to go. Hard to keep orientation in the area with huge snakes.

Do you have the tonitrus? If not you should go back to The Unseen Village and get it. The spiders are weak to lightning damage. If you can't get the Tonitrus try to find bolt paper.

As for the fight itself make sure to kill the little spiders before attacking Rom. Try not to turn your back on them as that will cause them to do a jump attack that will probably kill you instantly. Once you've got the small spiders dead attack Rom from his side.

Love them. I played ds and ds2 for 100s and 100s of hours (I did one play through of demon souls just because I was such a DS1 fan) . It kills skyrim/Bolivian IMO. This one is great - the level designs seem more like ds2 - so intertwined - and the graphics are really up a notch. I am an xboxer but given my dedication to souls games I bought a ps4 just for this (so now my ps4 sits on top of my xbox one like a CD player on top of a giant beta max lol). This was a smart exclusive for sony. You should get an account, not expensive.

Its a 3 phase fight...

on the first phase you can patiently pick off the smaller spiders and then attack ROM

on the 2nd and 3rd phase you basically have to storm in and attack ROM. But when he gives the movement that he is about to unleash magic ,run away. Then come back in to attack .
