Pretty sure I missed more than half of the side-quests in this game. I only sent 2 people into the Oedon Chapel; Arianna and the Old lady.

This was a motherfucker of a boss, hard to dodge, versatile. First one I needed to ring the bell for. Easy in co-op.

I killed the Cleric Beast!

I was fucking hating this game at first. But now that I realized the world is for farming and upgrading your character this game is fun as hell.

Beat gehrman to end my first ever playthrough..
I took his health down using weapon buffs and regular melee . When he got powered up I just kept out of range and hit him with bloodtinge bullets . By the time I ran out of bullets he only had one inch of health left.

Well anyways if I take my experience I would tell new players that the game is only as hard as you let it be in the sense that you can decide to just level after killing bosses etc or you can decide to level as much as possible and that makes the game way more manageable. Also the longer you play the better you get I didn't think I would ever be able to finish the game but now I just killed Rom and it only took me 2 tries when the first bosses took me like 20 tries. It's just a matter of leveling enough and sticking to it, it gets easier with time at least in my experience.

I found gehrman easy to beat, especially in his two handed mode. He has huge wide up and made it super easy to gun stagger.

The moon presence on the other hand was a bitch.

Just finished up the Cainhurst Castle. Boss floored me the first time since I didn't know I could take out his sword when he plants it in the ground to get rid of all of the flying projectiles. Tried to take him out from under cover, but there wasn't enough room to meneauver and avoid the projectiles. Second attempt went A LOT smoother when I figured you could destroy his sword and took advantage of the parry staggers.

Unlocked the the Chikage and Eveylne and holy shit do these look awesome. Looked up their leveled up stats with scaling and they seem pretty beastly. Normally wouldn't have bothered looking them up, but people talk about them a lot so wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Have been neglecting my Bloodtinge, so I'm going to have to do some serious grinding to get these.

Moon's aoe is a real nuisance. I beat it first try but was really lucky it didn't one shot me with that thing.

Gehrman reminds me of False king allant from Demons souls. Hits hard as fck but gives you loads of time to recover.

How is Gehrman's weapon? Judging by the boss fight seems like it'll be really good

I tried it out..
The move-set is not as good as I thought...
Once it is fully beefed up I imagine it would be decent for boss fights .

I duped my second character to get to 100 and have a shit ton of blood rocks. I have the burial blade at +10, along with the other skill weapons. The scythe does hit like a truck but the blades of mercy still has a higher skill scaling and I'm not a fan of the move list compared the blades of mercy and threaded cane. It's good for boss fights where you want to deliver a hard hit and get the fuck out, but not something I would take into a level or pvp. But that's just me.

I found it has a deceptive range in its normal state for pvp. I got invaded yesterday and I was getting hit by attacks I should have been dodging. The guy combined that with Evelyn and made it an annoying fight until I tricked my Ludwigs'.

God damned phantom range weapons. I had enough of that in dark souls 2.

Next play through I'm going to work on Chalice Dungeons much sooner. Finally getting to the point where they're challenging and I'm at lvl 70.

What depth are you working on? I'm doing 4 or 5, I'm a higher level than you, and they can be really challenging. Especially the defiled ones.

I did the first three but don't seem to have the materials for the fourth. I still don't really understand how they work tbh. The dungeon creation screen is not very intuitive.
