Loving the DLC. Research area is one of the best areas in any game ever. I'm trying to get into the chalice stuff, but I've been through probably 7 or 8 and have gotten nothing of value. When do they start being worthwhile?

Lower Loran and beyond. Also need to beat them for the Plat if you're going for it

DLC has some of the best content of any game ever but the research hall can get fukt, especially the boss.

After playing for a couple of days, I see what the appeal of this game is: the grinding to build stats and the intense boss battles. Dunno if I'll try out other Souls-like games, but I'm enjoying Bloodborne so far.

Best gems are in cursed dungeons and drop from the bosses there.

You’re over leveled for typical DLC stuff if you’re still in New Game. The DLC is the hardest part of the game.

I'd argue he's at the correct level. It's a motherfucker.

Hey, fuck this asshole and his 1 hit kills, im ok with it!

Shitload of bone marrow ash with a maxed out elanor? Then the bitch tried to 1 hit me and i panicked. Hit him until dead.

Then did the next level and it was the giant alien. Killed it on the 1st try.

The cursed gems are great and shit at the same time. This is unacceptable.

So....should i buy dead souls or demon souls or whatever theyre called? Which one is the newest?

Demon Souls is a 2009 remake so it has pretty old mechanics. You're probably better off with their more recent games, like Sekiro or Dark Souls 3.

If you're going in blind, I'd go with "Dark Souls". "Demon's Souls" is fine, but it has some "charming" old school design choices. The main issue with it, is a severe lack of checkpoints. The veterans don't seem to mind it, but it's just another frustration in an already hard as fuck game. I think some levels have a mid point checkpoint, but they are few and far between. It's old school. It's not backtracking through an area or two, if you die. It's basically "try again...no not from there....not from there either. Waaaayyyyy back there. That's where you have to start again."

I haven't played the remake, but I'm pretty sure they kept that aspect intact.

"Sekiro" is a different beast altogether. It's more of a straight up action game. Not much in the way of RPG mechanics to mediate the difficulty. Just you versus the game.
