Blood Feud: Wanderlei vs Rampage!

None of those names you mentioned should ever be allowed to be in the ring w Wanderlei.

What about everyone else that I mentioned? I consider the 2008 iteration of Alan Belcher to be an elite assassin (or close to it).

I consider the 2008 iteration of Jason Lambert to be a tough veteran who eliminated Renato Sobral.

Another possible option was Wanderlei Silva vs. Rory Singer.

Another possible option was Wanderlei Silva vs. James Irvin.

Another possible option was Wanderlei Silva vs. Houston Alexander.

Another possible option was Wanderlei Silva vs. Eric Schafer.

Awesome fights but horrible stand up in the first fight. Changed the outcome although Rampage was badly gassed.
Page in both fights was just not able to do much damage from the guard.

Are you joking? lol

You would have to ask Wand about that and, point is, he wasnt given the chance in the first. And i believe he hurt the Wand and made him bleed. This coming from a big Wanderlei fan.

Not at all.

By the way, I edited one of my previous messages to include more options in 2008.

Another possible option was Wanderlei Silva vs. James Irvin.

He was given plenty of time. I dont like standups, but he did not look like he was going to get anything significant going. He was too tired.

No one other than you cares about Wanderlei,an A-list fighter, fighting those guys. It is true Wanderlei was somewhat diminished from those back to back ko's but he remained competitive from this point on.

He defeated Michael Bisping and Cung Le,but you want him to fight Eric Shaefer. Cool story, bro

What's the difference between the messages that I wrote and the plans that Pride FC had? Please tell me what the difference is.

To this day, I insist that Pride FC wanted to literally MURDER HUMANS.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Kanehara happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Kazushi Sakuraba 1, 2, and 3 all happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Daijiro Matsui happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Carl Malenko happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Oyama happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Otsuka happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Tamura happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Iwasaki happened inside Pride FC.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Nakamura happened inside Pride FC.

Some (or all) of those MMA fights are brutal, insane, dangerous, chaotic, and straight-up irresponsible.

Japanese MMA and the UFC are almost different sports the way they are run,and what their fans want.

Also under unified rules it was not possible for Wanderlei to have the same schedule. These fights you speak of are usually fights Wanderlei stayed in Japan for a month doing commercials and appearances and would just take another fight. Mirko mentioned doing the same.

If fighters were allowed to take PEDS,and fight as much as they want, they would. Until they are making millions and then dont need to.

UFC is only concerned with Wanderlei having big fights.

Wanderlei vs those guys you mentioned? No one gives a shit about those guys. In Japan, just being japanese is enough if they are fighting a top guy.

SO if you want to apply Pridefc's methods to the UFC,its already a flawed argument.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Ikuhisa Minowa happened inside Pride FC.

What's the difference between one group of assassins (Kanehara, Minowa, Otsuka, Malenko, Sakuraba, Matsui, Oyama, Tamura, Iwasaki, Nakamura, and many others) and another group of assassins (Rory Singer, Eric Schafer, James Irvin, Houston Alexander, Jason Lambert, Sean Salmon, David Heath, Alan Belcher, Tim Boetsch, and many others)?

Well if you want to ignore what I just said,I dont have any problem not bothering with your posts any longer, especially if you just going to repeat the same matchups with forgettable fighters only you care to see. "Assassins" as you call them.

Ill consider this my Flawless Victory

You've written over 108,600 messages on Sherdog. You started your account in the year 2004.

Do you actually believe that Wanderlei Silva vs. Tim Boetsch would've been less competitive than Wanderlei Silva vs. Otsuka was?

Do you seriously believe that Wanderlei Silva vs. James Irvin would've been less competitive than Wanderlei Silva vs. Oyama was?

You are ignoring the reasons WHY those fights didnt happen!

I get it that YOU wanted to see them (well not really but..)

But 2008 UFC,they werent gonna do those fights. Tim Boetsch at some point got good enough where maybe they could have done it,but i dont know if Wand was still around by then.

All those fights in Japan was the way Japan could build up killers. They put wanderlei in there w someone they know he is gonna stomp out, the japanese fighter who is killed gets bushido credibility for getting in there, have awesome highlight reels to hype Wand and everyone is satisfied. By 2008? we already know Wanderlei is a killer,he just turned Jardine into street pizza. They dont want to waste time with fights hes supposed to win, they want to see how far he can go. Wanderlei was probably already winding down at this point and wasnt wastin time.

Wanderlei was 32-9-1 going into the 3rd Rampage fight. Goddamn.

He finished his career at 35 - 14 - 1.

The 2008 iteration of Tim Boetsch already won wars inside the UFC.

The 2008 iteration of James Irvin already won wars inside the UFC.

Houston Alexander also turned Keith Jardine into street pizza.

Besides them, I mentioned many different MMA fighters.

Yeah so what ? Wanderlei dont got time to change their bum lives.

Such an epic time in the sport.. I loved their fights and rivalry, they were violent fights and Wanderli was a savage back then. I never forget Wanderli smiling at Rampage before delivering those devastating knees

I think page smiled at him and then Wanderlei smiled back, punched him in the face and continued the assault w knees. Never seen nothing like that.

Yeah by the 3rd fight Rampage got the edge but even then I don’t think it was by that much. If I remember correctly Wanderlei was still a slight favorite going on.

But like everyone said his chin was shot. Also agree that Wanderlei won when it mattered.

The 4th fight was practically a friendly sparring. Their feud already ended and they were buddies by then.
