BLM protestors struck by car during freeway protest in Seattle

It’s something I’m gleaning through various online chatter. I’m not going to put the comments forth as thought they’re authoritative (and there’s more that what I’ve mentioned). The point is just that we don’t yet know all the details and it’s best not to jump to conclusions.

This is a fair take. I'm curious about the context but the video is pretty clear.

Stop being a sensitive drama queen, that post isn't infraction worthy and calling for such things is exactly the kind of PC suppression we do not want to see on these boards.

That said, if it's true that the driver had to actually put in effort to bypass roadblocks to hit these protesters, that's psychotic; that person needs prison time to ponder why on earth they attempted vehicular homicide.

These kinds of protests are asinine, and those who engage in them are fools and nutjobs. But a callous attack upon those involved in them should in no way be condoned.
No , a reasonable person would say the driver should have at least slowed down and express some sympathy for the dead woman .

Is that too much to ask ?

Would you "protest" on a highway at 1:30 am?

Nope. I'm usually asleep at that hour.

But I have protested on highways. All of the protests since this shit started have had cops blocking the roadways, and the only confrontations have been cops in Virginia Beach starting shit because they're trying to protect their resort image.

The thing that makes it possible, is that you can clearly hear sirens in the background and the cherries reflecting of the buildings. Now, if he was being chased, it could've been for going the wrong way on the exit ramp, so even if was being chased, it doesn't necessarily rule out intent. Although, it does look like he was slowing to a stop after he hit them, so it's hard to say right now what exactly led to it and if he intended to hurt anyone or not.

Either way, that guy ain't gonna be seeing freedom for quite a while.

They probably won't do that again. Don't block road and highways.

As I mentioned in the other thread, no way this can be defended.

should be appalling to anyone with any sense of decency and compassion.

@sabretruth this is the guy who hates leftists more than you, for reference. Go take a long walk, get some fresh air, and try to contain your simmering idiopathic political rage while doing so.

You think it’s ok to celebrate violence on this forum?
Pretty sure I typed "they" there. Not sure what happened, but no, I don't think it's ok to celebrate or encourage violence.

Or he had been drinking and didnt see them until it was to late. Wy go to he was trying to kill them

Yep, this is gross. And I would like to think everyone could agree that it’s wrong. We won’t allow this thread to turn into a giant joke like the time the leftists here joked about that 5 year old boy being thrown off a balcony in that mall.

We should all be able to stand and point at wrong things together, there is no shame in that.

If he was evading police, charges may be quite steep seeing as ran over the women during the commission of a separate felony. He better pray those girls don't die, because that's an automatic felony murder charge in the state of Washington.

Sorry, out of it. I did mean that's what I think the forum allows. As in, "I think they allow celebrating and encouraging the right kind of violence." .

The road was not closed (legally), there was no police roadblock (?) and the police already said they had no right or permit to be on the highway at 2am.
Oopsie

All of you seem to be taking the facts and applying context depending on what side of the isle you support.

Nothing is vetted anymore.

It's suspected he got on an offramp because the police had the onramps closed because the protesters were using the onramps to access the highway.

Still protesting on a highway at night is Darwin worthy, march on a capital, march on a prison, march on corporations, everyone would support you. The message and momentum for the movement is beginning to flounder based solely on the way the protests are being carried out.

Hell I'll even help turn the movement around.
1. Find the prison with the highest number of non-violent drug offenses, basically crimes where the only aggrieved party is the prisoner.
2. National protest at the prison, not this messy mob shit, hands around the prison, dress code so everyone looks sharp.
3. leaders at the protest are on a hunger strike.

I'd have to go find my mci on guerrilla warfare to paint a better picture but in essence the protesters are self sabotaging and not winning the hearts and minds of the public.

Congrats, you're not a moron without an ounce of self preservation. I can't think of a dumber place to protest except maybe randomly showing up on a landing strip.

This is just territorial pissing at this point. Nothing more, nothing less. I can't see how anyone would think stumbling around on a highway in the middle of the night could possibly be a good idea free of repressions. Regardless if it was closed down by flimsy barricades or not. Unless they want to become martyrs for the cause.

Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean it's a good idea.
