Social Black people are 2.9 times more likely than white people to be killed by cops, report says

They included this in their research.

edit:
and this

What kind of research is this?
Its propaganda where the answer and sound bite is derived first and then the basis is sought out through a hilarious choose-your-own-adventure of sample data without any parameters

how do you think it should be answered?
i asked you to show where i was ridiculing it, as you claimed. no answer to that?

and it's not me who should answer the original question. "how do you think it should be answered" is just a meaningless dodge. why would it be so hard to answer my original question?

black people tend to be marginalized
if you are marginalized you live in marginalized areas
if you live in a marginalized area you are more exposed to crime and criminal activity
police who patrol marginalized areas experience harsher crime
= police reaction toward marginalized communities tends to be harsher than toward non marginalized communities

then why did you ask the question?

no point answering someone with an agenda or bias

its hilarious when people say that racism doesnt exist anymore. or systemic racism is a myth. or whatever BS they like to say

If by “systematic racism” you mean certain demographics systematically commit more violent crime per capital than others

Then yes, you’re correct

*per capita

police would fit that category.

i asked to find out where the pride comes from. pride about what exactly. it's an easy enough question.

also, still you haven't shown where i was "ridiculing" it. Probably because you're a liar.

RIP @Wadtucket

Banned by the police lol

it isnt shocking that centuries of slavery and mistreatment, forgotten heritage, and families being torn apart could lead to a toxic culture.
That's a fair point, but for a completely different argument. The topic is that it is being claimed police are 2.9x more likely to kill a black person, than to kill a white person, because "police are racist". That claim seemingly has no basis in reality, given the massive discrepancies in violent crime rates, by race.

The point you're making addresses the question of what is the root cause of those massive discrepancies in violent crime rates is, to begin with. In any case, it's disingenuous to make absurd claims about black people generally being hunted by police and such.

I haven't really read through the thread. But blacks are more likely to be involved in crime am I right?

So it's only natural they'd be target more by cops.

Sooo... it's never their fault?
