Talking about the champ here. Perry knows to take the money fights over the actual test in the division. I like Mike Perry a lot, but that's a tough fight.

True, he needs more experience that's only painfully obtained.
He also hurt his hands on Luke. I've seen vids of people just repeatedly punch things softer than bone to, I guess, build up bone hardness.

super happy for BKFC, Ben Rothwell, Eddie Alvarez, and Platinum. what a great event that delivered. also loved listening to the interviews on the weasel helwanis show today. rothwell is a good dude, so glad he's finding more success and resonating with the fans after this big win. his mic skills after the fight were good too, no awkwardness, just good energy. hoping he gets the HW strap and soon. the sky is only up for BKFC, hope they can get some big signings, and keep their match-making going. it's obvious the match-maker knows what is up. all absolute bangers, high finish rate, no b.s. stalling tactics. and on top of that, the fighters WANT to fight, they WANT to do good and put on performances. it absolutely shows, you can feel it, you obviously see it. UFC could take a page and try hyping up their fighters.

I find it surprising that he did not find more success in ufc, especially in his last few fights when he was getting outstruck by the likes of Mickey Gall. I guess it was all mental for Perry. I think he deserves another chance in ufc now that he has found his groove.

And about Luke. He can still be a force at MW if he used his kicks more. He used to be a great striker when he used his kicks more. Something like Strickland vs Luke would be good if Luke fights smart and he uses his kicks. Luke with a heavy kicking gameplan is still a problem for everyone at MW other than Pereira and Izzy.

Rockhold's small and frail head can't take power shots specially from a killer like Platinum Mike Perry.

yeah we should rather discuss how ngannou turned down a hundred billion dollars again, right

Luke and Mike are done in the UFC and both would struggle to get another win against a decent opponant..............................deal with it

And no he didn't

Welcome back Mike, you stud, here is your 20/20k.

Luke is chinny AF though..

Luke has always been a bit of a glass cannon.. that head / facial structure isn't designed to take big hits..

Sometimes people under estimate how much your personal life effects your career. If you have a lot of issues you're dealing with, whether it's with your significant other, etc. Your performance in your job can take a hit negatively.

It happens to people. I'm just speculating but Perry seems to be doing good in his life outside of fighting, plus bareknuckle boxing suits his style more than MMA did.

He was making around 200k per fight. No show and win. Probably made more for the Rockhold fight. Similar to his UFC career (looks like he made 190K against Gall which I would assume was show and win.)

Without the padding of the gloves it's deadly.
