-Trained under a lot of duress today. Only a couple hours of sleep and tons of mental and emotional stress due to the hardest school work I've ever had and some personal stuff. Even still, I am very pleased with matching my PR with 340. The last two were breathing reps but I got it done. Everything felt hard today.

-No BJJ due to studying for a midterm and feeling like absolute shit.

-Everything felt pretty good today. 245 was a bitch but nailed it.

BJJ

King of the hill training and straight rolling for 6-7 minute rounds. Very tough night physically but performed great overrall I felt like. Tough tough rolls with high level blues, purples and a white. Really pushed it.

Hey, so my teacher told me that there are is a HUGE job market for teachers in Texas right now. Does it seem like there a lot of job opportunities in general?

Me neither! But I've been noticing veins in all kinds of places lately. It's really cool I'm digging it.

Hm you know it's hard to say about the jobs in Texas, because I feel like I'm so insulated in my schoolwork. I don't really have an accurate grasp of how things are here yet, but maybe Caleb knows better than I do. Come on out!
 
There is only one thing on my body that I can see veins on. I'll give you a hint... it's not my hamstrings.

-Trained at LA Fitness on very little sleep; the mirror set up kind of fucked with me a little and I was 2 reps short of my target. Still, the boring but big sets felt perfect form-wise and I left covered in sweat and legs shaking.

BJJ (no-gi)

A few half guard passes and rolling; felt exhausted, beyond tired so performance wasn't too hot. Went with a couple of blue belts, did okay. Just glad I didn't wuss out of going tonight.

-Doing even one chin-up with 100lbs has been a lifetime goal. To be honest the whole thing was very anticlimactic. I don't know if I expected to hear angels singing at the top of each rep but I finished my set a little disappointed and wondering what the big deal was. Onward to 105lbs I guess.

Didn't end up going bc I forgot they closed for the Super Bowl.

Just realized my instructor is competing next weekend at the Houston Open in the same bracket as Ryan Hall and JT Torres! Holy crap I am so going.

I love chins, it's like the only thing I'm decent at! And the only 'lift' I've made an elite achievement in, according to Martin Berkhan's standards.
