bjj in a hot gym

We don't have A/C or heat in my gym and I agree. Super cold really sucks. The worst is when your toes are super frozen and you stub them or hit them against something. I need to get some wrestling shoes this winter.

Oh man that is bad. I hate the running around warm up when the mats are still freezing, just so uncomfortable. What i really hate is that I would warm up, we'd do tech and the such, basically cooling down. Then we would spar much later in the night. So I was always cold when we started rolling. Going from cold to sweating while rolling is an awful transition.

Should get a crappy kerosine heater or something.

nope, the jiu jitsu gym I train at is air conditioned and everything, so I stay nice and somewhat cool while im rolling

The gym I trained at in Korea had a pretty big kerosene heater, but it would fill the room with foul-smelling fumes and make it too hot, so then we'd have to open the window, and then it would get too cold again and my sweaty gi would be freezing cold and my toes would go numb. So uncomfortable. It was impossible to get the temperature right.

If you would walk into the wrestling room at the end of a practice it would be like entering a warm swamp, just sayin.

One of the perks of having your gym inside of a dead mall is that while the businesses are slowly dying the a/c and heat are always in check with K mart regulations. At the old gym running on ice cold puzzle mats was like trying to balance on two stumps.

Yep, that's pretty much how it is. But if you guys bought a good heater, the window would be closed, cheapskates=P

ultra-lite gi plus huge water bottle with ice in it. so necessary.

no water breaks for our intense practices in the heat. Maybe once during a 2 hour practice (all rolling) they will say you can get water. brutal

Hahahah, that's ugly. That's how we practiced during wrestling. Now water breaks till the end of practice.
