All I know is he trained at Gracie Barra at some point, and we are not gracie barra so he doesn't focus on it.

All I know is he trained at Gracie Barra at some point, and we are not gracie barra so he doesn't focus on it.

Is he a blackbelt?A higher blackbelt has to promote someone to blackbelt.So it kinda goes who gave him his blackbelt and who gave the blackbelt to the instructor that promoted your instructor and so on and so forth.Eventually it'll get back to a guy from Brazil.There are alot of blackbelts that will start a school but they won't advertise an affiliation because they would have to pay association fees.

Back in the day it was common for it to take two black belts to award a black belt. Now I think any 3rd degree can award them.
