BJJ Black belts in Alabama?

    I have heard that there are three black belts in the state of Alabama, I was just curious if anyone knew who they were. I know that Puccio in B'Ham has one, I think Johnny Lee Smith in Cullman, don't know the other one.

    There is a Gracie Barra affiliate in Huntsville owned by a blue belt, and they had a black belt come in to take over. He wasn't at the last tournament we had, so I'm not sure if he is still with them. It's a Helio Soneca school and I'm sure he visits every now and then. Their website is here.

    No, not currently. Hearing alot of good things about you guys though, seem to do really well in competition. Isn't the state tourneys coming up?

    The only black belt from Birmingham is Braulio Estima. Birmingham, England that is.

    Yep July 19th, it's a no-gi tourney. I'm not sure if I'll get to compete this time, but we'll have a gi tourney in a few months so it's all good.
