Bitcoin currency of the future?

Kodak is creating their own coin and they're going to use the block chain to find copyright image violations.
Kodak's other initiative, the KodakCoin, is being created as part of an effort to build a global ledger of picture rights ownership that photographers can add their work to.
Associated KodakOne software will be used to crawl the web and find pictures that have been used without permission.
The company said it would then "manage the licensing process," so the photographer can be paid, in KodakCoin.
"Kodak has always sought to democratise photography and make licensing fair to artists," said Kodak chief executive Jeff Clarke.
"These technologies give the photography community an innovative and easy way to do just that."
The company's shares traded more than 130% above their opening price after the announcement before closing the day 119.4% higher.
But one expert had doubts.
"Storing the information in a blockchain doesn't protect your copyright any more than copyright law already does," commented David Gerard, author of Attack of the 50ft Blockchain.
"Notice how they're marketing it: they state a problem, then say the blockchain can solve it. But there's no mechanism by which the blockchain could do that.
"This doesn't do anything that signing up for Shutterstock or Getty Images wouldn't."

Did anyone else able to register on binance.com recently?

Isn't this bitcoin bubble very similar to the dot com bull market in 98-99? Random internet stocks with zero earnings just going to the moon...seems almost the same. Anyways, good to see some of you turning big profits....just don't be the one left holding the bag at the end.

This is true, and a lot of people are just putting money into random low market coins and getting rich from doing it. I suppose the safest thing to do would be to invest in companies that actually have products with a market. I have been suggesting Vechain and Walton to people for these exact reasons.

Entire market is in a pull back. It's all good. This year is going to be insane.

They reopened the new registrations today but apparently they closed them again, you have to keep trying

Currently holding a bit of the following:
Ethereum
Verge
VeChain
Power Ledger
Ethos
Ripple
Iota
Stellar Lumens

Looking to hold these for a while at least.

Looking into maybe getting some Oyster Pearl and maybe get in on some promising ICO's, but I need to do some more research on those ICO's but I've seen some interesting prospects.

Vechain and Walton going strong during the crash! Utrust and Oyster are slightly up as well.

That would be cool if Kodak made a comeback. When I first got into investing some of the stuff I was looking at was way past its prime but still has name recognition. Like Xerox or Kodak.

Fuck. Kodak is up 60% today!

blockchain related stocks are up today in general. Even my shitty DPW stock. I bought this at 5 dollars a share. lol

Why do you think this year will be insane? Can you shill me please :)?
Hype begets hype. This previous year was absolutely insane. Bitcoin did 10-20x (depending on which day you look at its price haha). The market cap as a whole grew from 16 billion to 600 billion. The bulls are as hot as ever and looking for the next bitcoin/eth/litecoin/xvg price explosion. 2018 is the year of the alt coin.

Think about this. Despite 2017s explosive growth in the market, it still hasn't hit the mainstream. Your average person has no fucking clue what cryptocurrencies are and they may have heard something about bitcoin but know nothing. There is still virtually no institutional money in the space. No 401ks investing, no hedge funds, think I heard something about bitcoin etfs. When real institutional money gets involved it's going to get insane. On top of that most of this tech hasn't even begun to see real actual functional adoption.

When these balls start rolling into place 2018 is going to get explosive. I think we're in a cooling off period that may even last until March or April. After that it's gonna be a fun ride.
