Bitcoin currency of the future?

The legitimate, safe and secure exchanges are few and far between. The ways that are safe and secure, like Kraken and Coinbase, have a massive userbase and have a huge influx of new users. You can go try out little known exchanges with small user bases for a smoother experience but risk getting your money stolen or fucked with.

for me, I'll continue to have patience with Gdax/Coinbase knowing I can rest easy trading on their platform.

That's a really broad question. I think quite a few people globally believe in it. I know silicon valley and finance guys believe in it. But for sure the majority of the massive influx of new money in the market has no idea what they're buying let alone believe in it.

Easier to have patience when you already have money in the game. I can't even get in the game with they pos website.

You're struggling bro lol... I have to say, it's sketchy and risky but it's not hard to get into.

Once you've verified your ID you can instantly buy with a debit/credit card. What's the issue you're having?

It's already a global currency. You can access the deep web anywhere in the world and pay bitcoin for whatever you want. There are more and more legitimate products that are being sold in the deep web and bitcoin is the deep web's darling currency.

You need to post here more.

Any suggestions on trading platforms? USD based.

Coinbase/GDAX we all know.

But Bifinex? Bittrex? Poloniex? Bitstamp? What's your preferred alt coin exchange?

I have a feeling this thing is going to destroy a lot of families and relationships. People are going crazy over this.

Btc is lower than it has been for the moment. Also, jabroni, I use uphold for btc but they don't do ETH and LTC at the moment so I may try to get into some other site that does. I hope people understand that this could crash anytime and that they aren't putting up money that their families rely on to get by.

But isn't this the dream of all haxxors to create a new digital currency and take over the establishment?

I do think digital currency is the way of the future I'm just not optimistic about it changing the world for the better. I still think we're going to have the same wealth gap that we have today. There's definitely a lot of positives to digital currencies but a few negatives as well. Overall I think it is a better system than fiat but I do think people are dreaming too much. Perhaps just excited about their gains and not able to see the bigger picture in the long term.

To add to this line of thinking, I would say the people that were going to make huge amounts of money on this already have. I remember the saying... It takes money to make money. So the people that have made a ton of money off of bitcoin aren't the average Joes investing a couple thousand, it's the big money makers that invested 100 million when it was $1,000 a coin and have already cashed out or are poised to cash out. They're the ones that are going to make big money and once again, use the system to their advantage.

As for the rest of us, well, hopefully no one loses their entire life savings on bitcoin like this family:

Crazy the amount of popularity it's getting now. A few months ago if I mentioned bitcoin, people had no fucking clue about it...now it's on CNBC and shit. I feel bad for that family of this thing doesn't pan out.

You've got to employ some safe thinking when you trade. I took a minor risk buying back in at 230, but insanely, LTC soared to 390. I sold off at around 370, and have watched it tank.since then. Even at 300 I'm not tempted. Looks like it will break through the floor and sink down to the mid 200s. While I could be wrong, I'm not confident in it at 300-320 right now. After a surge that insane, you have to expect some major pullback as people dump to rake in their earnings and then more people sell off in panic as the price plummets.

Lots of husbands are going to be in deep shit when their wives find out what they've done.

I wonder if bitcoin takes a huge drop, then all the average Joes invest again, then it skyrockets up past 20k this time?
