Bitcoin currency of the future?

NEX seems like an interesting ICO, but it’s kind of expensive. 1:1 NEX/ISD, 50M Coins total I believe.

The previous poster referred to a stock's value. I see where you are going but you are trying to say a stock has lost "300%" of its previous gains. I.e if a stock jumps from 125 to 150. It's up 20%. If it falls from 150 to 75$ the next day you could say it's previous gains are down 300%. If you frame the parameters by two arbitrary points in time you could say any stock is down, any time it retreats from it's all time high.

However no stock's value will retreat greater than 100%. Value defined as any positive integer where it can be traded and money can be made from it's swings.

Enron lost 100%. It's stock had a value of $xxx and became worthless.

It would be down 50% from $150 to $75.

What you said is correct, but no commodity ever has a negative value, so it's kind of meaningless. In fact, a stock never has a initial value of $0 when it goes on the market anyhow. So, in reality, from day 1 on, it can lose more than 100% of its value.

The 'previous days gains' are down 300%. Value isn't the difference between the IPO and today's price. It's the difference between the spot price and the point at which it's delisted. Anywhere in between is money to be made and thus value.

Ok, but you can't buy a stock at $0, so if it goes down to $0, it loses more than 100%.

Consider you bought at ten, it went to fifteen, and then to zero. You are visualizing the loss as -150%. What percentage of your investment did you lose?

The stock's value, and your 1:1 (not leveraged) investment can never close greater than -100%.

Disregard IPO, base list price, A leveraged bet etc

I tried to sign up a couple of weeks ago but it was too late to get involved unless you are already whitelisted. This is why I just sign up to a whole bunch even if I probably won't get involved in the ICO.

ALERT ALERT Bitcoins stock has just dropped a massive 100%
