Bisping officially retires from MMA

True legend of the sport. A pioneer. One of the first guys that became popular from the TUF show. Had a very durable career and won a belt way past his prime. He also always had a stable record. He never had real bad losing streaks and generally fought tough competition. I really hate to see him go but i'm glad he's leaving bc I think it's time and I hate to see a guy tarnish his achievements and overstay their welcome and lose a lot at the end of their career. That and the obvious health complications makes this a good decision. From his trash talk, to his fights, and from his commentary, i'll truly always keep bisping as one of my favorites. I actually saw him in person at UFC FN Charlotte a few months ago. He was very interactive with the crowd, unlike some others. I guess this is my farewell to Bisping the fighter, hope this wasn't too sappy.

Eye did not see that coming.

Bisping really brought me around over the years and turned me into a fan. I like the guy and he had a very successful career when it's all said and done.

He was never really one of the best of the best, but he was always a damn good Top 10 guy and it was great to see him smash Rockhold and get to hold the belt at least once in his career.

War Bisping! Enjoy retirement!
couldn't have said it better. He started when the ufc first got big and has been one of the UFC's most loyal fighters and mma personality. Love the guy. I'm glad he will still be around to commentate and give us all a good laugh. I was always impressed with his durability and consistent record. And yea he and everybody knows he's not TBE but he was always a guy who could beat anybody and was always truly competitive. and he also brought mma to england/uk and made it popular which I think we are seeing now.

Should take one more against Nick Diaz for a few mil.

if he does retire

always been a fan
he had a great career
would have been nice to see him leave with a win

i always said he'd beat anderson prime or not
it was just meant to be
No version of Bisping would beat Anderson during his title run and I hate anderson

Completely classless act. Ridiculously sore loser (almost Diaz-level), and incapable of winning with any grace whatsoever (very Diaz-level as well).

Good riddance.

A very brash misunderstood guy who fought a lot of great names & thanks to sheer persistence he was able to win the MW gold. The guy has been through a lot & even got a nasty eye injury. Nothing but respect. I always wished he would come out to this version of 'Song 2' since he is the H.P. Baxxter of MMA.

Definitely a legend, if not for his personality at the very least. Never thought he would touch the title, pretty amazing,
