Bisping officially retires from MMA

What he did to Rockhold will always makes him a legend in my eye.<28>

Lmao no he isn't
How isn't he? 3rd wave tuf champ, currently tied for most fights in promotional history, more fights and wins at MW in ufc than any other man, 2nd most time spent inside the octagon at just over 6 hours, currently tied for most wins in promotional history, leader in significant strikes landed in ufc history, and MW champion. Takes care of the legend portion.

And he very much is amongst the first wave of British stars to come in and be succesful in the UFC when people used to shit on brit mma for having bad wrestling, and has been carrying that banner ever since helping UK MMA get to where it is today. Before him it was basically only Ian Freeman and Ian just didn't have the kind of impact that bisping did. Without his influence in making UFC a thing in the UK we may not have some of the great fighters we do in current day. So that takes care of being a pioneer. Anything else?

Good. I'll officially call him a

Bisping is a warrior who never gave up on his dream to be one champion. I'll miss him.

respect. glad to see him go out before he lost any more. he lost 2 in a row but that gastelum fight should have never happened

He gave us a decade of entertainment. He was an old school fighter who got in the and would scrap. You always knew win or lose he was gonna make the fight entertaining.

Thanks for fights Bisping!

I will miss him. He had some good fights and fought pretty a who’s who of contenders. I hope he enjoys retirement.

Did anybody actually watch the video?
He's having problems with his good eye now.

Massive respect to the guy. Fought his heart out pretty much every single time he got in the octagon.

That'll do Ping, that'll do.

never rated him as a fighter honestly. objectively speaking though, I probably would say he is around top 10. perhaps 7th-10th would be his level. In saying that, a lot of his losses were to ped abusing fighters so if you discount those performances, he is possibly a top 5 fighter I suppose?

he has had a good career and his retirement is well deserved. would like to see him retire with a win. I still dont rate him as an elite top tier fighter but I do like him as a person. He is the best trash talker in UFC hands down.

The only notable stat in your legends criteria is that he held the belt. Being a TUF winner doesn't make for being a legend. Leading in significant strikes or having the most fights at MW doesn't make for being a legend. LOL at 2nd most time spent inside the octagon being there.

He has the most wins, but how many actual big wins did he have? 2 or 3? And he's definitely not a pioneer, just because he was the first British fighter they really decided to push doesn't mean anything, in fact he came up short in every big fight until the Rockhold win at the tail end of his career.

Good fighter with longevity, that's it. Not a legend.

Was not a fan but the guy was as legit as they come and touched the belt. He can hang his high forever.

London calling...
