Bisping officially retires from MMA

Who ever saw this coming....

But I'll say a few words about him...

He was the biggest douche in UFC history...He had the emotional control of a child, a short temper, and always found a way to bring out the worst in himself....His UFC title reign was pretty much the most pathetic and illegitimate ever. He was just nearly unbearable.

He was driven to compete though. You can never take that from him.
 
One of the least, if not the least liekable people in the UFC. Incredibly insecure with a huge chip on his shoulder, prime example of someone who loves to dish it out but can't take it. Constantly makes excuses and is incredibly delusional.

He should retire entirely from MMA and be replaced by Dan Hardy. 10x more interesting and no 10-year history of being an a-hole.
 
He almost destroyed the entire MW division for a year and a half with his ducking and screwing legit guys out of titleshots.

His last two fights are a fitting ending.

He got lucky chris got hurt and stepped in (props on the short notice fight) He was probably on juice vs Luke (bisping has never koed anyone)

Then he ducks the entire division including deflated Vitor
 
He has a lot of haters, and understandably.. he comes across very dickish quite often.. but if you are a true fan of MMA, you have to respect all that he accomplished in his career and know that he was one of the best trailblazers the sport has had, especially as far as the UK scene goes.

I am sure he will be a UFC hall of famer, and I congratulate him on a hell of a run.
 
Great fighter and by all means fighter, came through lot of ups and downs in his career, won the title against Luke in rocky balboa underdog fashion against bigest rival and started end of Luke rockhold, he was douche but likable douche, great inteligent trash talk not many can match up ( not even connie) only chael and maybe twitter warior Colby. 26 fight in the octagon is something not many can brag with and i doubt any of todays picky injury prone primadonas will be able to. Also never missed weight, never tested positive and rarely pulled out, sadly though he has losses to steroid abusers. I dont get you who now post photos of him getting finished in ugly fashion especially against Kelvin , The Cunt entered the cage against him with brain concusiion literally. This is his retirement thread , lets cherish and worship him budeeh, even though you hated him you wanted to see and hear him, enjoy your retirement Mike and i hope you fix your eye problems

Say what you want but one od most memorable Ufc fighters and future HoF.

Probably the fighter I've rooted against the most. Great career he deserves to ride into the sunset and enjoy retirement. I'll miss rooting against him. Nothing but respect for Bisping he's a warrior.
 
Still one of my all time favourite fihters.

Had the pleasure of meeting him. He always has time for the dans wether it is signing a poster of him copping the H-bomb for a fan or taking a selfie with a bunch of mma fans while trying to take a piss LOL.

He gave alot to the sport including an eye.

Alot of people shrivel and quit after a KO like he received from Hendo. Mike refused to give in however and just pushed himself to get better. I don’t think there is a single fighter out there who has as much heart as Bisping (except Sakuraba) when his face got split in half by Anderson Mike refused to give in and he pushed through the pain amd took it to Anderson and rightfully won the fight.

Thank you for all the memories good and bad and confrats on a career full of highlights both good and bad.

I will miss you alot but look forward to your commentary on all things MMA and seeing you in the odd movie.

Went from not caring about him when I first got into the sport, to disliking him, to having him be one of my favorite fighters. Him beating Rockhold is, to this day, one of my top 3 favorite MMA moments of all time; I’m a Rockhold fan, I was just so happy for mMike - I ran laps around my kitchen island and screamed loud enough to wake the neighbors, I’m sure.

He’s just given so much to and for the sport.

He may not have been the best, but he certainly did the best he could with what he had.

Congrats on a damn fine career.

with no Bisping theres hardly anyone from the UK thats equally as entertaining. Bisping was hilarious.... I miss him already lol
