Bill Murray and it isn’t even close. Ghostbusters alone trumps Carrey’s entire filmography.

I’d drop all of Carrey’s film career into a blender and delete it from the earth forever just to save 15 seconds of Ghostbusters.

ok. now go upstairs mom is calling out for dinner.

Bill Murray and it isn't close. Many SNL people say he's the best improv comedian they've ever seen. He didn't even have scripted lines for Caddyshack, it was all off the cuff or loosely scripted at best.

Jim Carrey by a mile. Although I liked Gostbusters and Scrooged.

Carey more talented but Murray just more fun to watch.

Carey > Murray

Bill is a legend, and perhaps the better technical actor, but he was never laugh-so-hard-it-hurts kind of funny. "Big" Ern McCracken was Bill's only character that can compete with Carey's best works, comedically.

Overall, Murray, but it breaks down strongly in the favor of each: dramas and dramatic comedies to Murray, pure comedies to Carrey.

Murray all the way. The only comedian around that generation that could be as talented as him is Robin Williams

I'm more of a Jim Carrey guy he was one of my Idols growing up. Didn't really know about Murray until later in life but he'll just show up to random house parties and seems like the definition of IDGAF. So regardless of the movies I voted for him.

This one is close for me. I love both their movies, but I think I have to go with Bill Murray. Lost in Translation is my all time favorite film.

I am surprised it is so close. Bill Murray for me all day

Bill murray simply for lost in translation.

that’s one of my fav movies ever.
I'm loving that movie, it's one of my favoriites, but JIm has The Truman Show, Man on the Moon and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, so I'll have to go with Jim. And he's also a Cannibal Corpse fan, so another plus for him.
