I dont want to call a fighter "non elite" or "not elite" but name some fighters or a fighter who aren't really viewed as all time greats but hold some real big wins..wins over legends or champions or fighters viewed as better than them in terms of "ALL TIME".... maybe some fringe top 10 fighters who have wins over champs or wins over fighters who are now viewed as much better than they were/are....something along those lines.

For Example:
Clay Guida has wins over- Pettis, RDA, Gomi, and Nate Diaz

Bigfoot beat Fedor, Overeem, and Arlovski. Granted he was ranked top 5 for a while but most people seem to view him as not that great.

if you consider nate non eliete- conor, cerrone, gomi

its up for debate who we consider elite or not but... I have never heard anybody refer to Guida has on of the best or one of the greats. Even though he is/was a great fighter.

I think some may view Nate as one of the best LW's ever though

He had such a hard fall. He is one of those people who may have genuinely needed TRT because of his medical condition but could not use it because of the rules... Unless I am mistaken or something I think that was something that happened to Bigfoot

Serra over GSP is once in a lifetime.

Matt serra is the only thing that I think of. Loved how he won the title but let's be honest he wasn't elite but God damn did he make the best of the impossible.

Honestly its hard to think of an example who comes close to Clay Guida

He's a strange case. I thought he was legit as hell then he becomes a shell of the greatness he once displayed.
He'd lose to Brown if the fought again imo.

Diego Sanchez:

Nick Diaz
Martin Kammpman
Takanori Gomi
Kenny Florian
Karo Parysian

Clay n pray has some crazy big wins when you think about it.

Paulo Thiago is close to being an example but not quite. He needed a bigger win than Mike Swick to go along with his Koscheck KO

Keith Jardine over CHuck

Has to be more than just one big win... But that example is actually pretty damn good

He beat Chuck, Forrest, Vera and Drawed with Mousasi. At least on paper thats one of the better examples. Jardine is also highly underrated

Trevor Prangley beat Chael Sonnen, Travis Lutter, Emmanuel Newton, and Keith Jardine.
Not the greatest example but not bad. I doubt many people remember Trevor Prangley

I misread the original post. Didn't realize it was supposed to be a non-elite fighter with multiple big wins.

Valentijn Overeem comes to mind. Wins over Babalu and Couture as well as a few other quality fighters but his overall record is .500 or below.

Back to back at the time those were huge wins and he did it by ass whooping too. I thought he was the next big thing. Fug me I was wrong
