I think Sam was at the right place at the right time for many of those fights with the right attitude.

Hunter and his team behind the scenes have a ton moving parts going on getting fights set. They have a guy drop out or are on to the third guy trying to get a fight done and over all just wasting too much time on it, they called Sam who always says yes and it is done deal in minutes and they can move on to more important things.
