Biggest age difference in a fight, where the older fighter won?

Diego Sanchez is 10 years older than Mickey Gall but feels at least 20 years older
In only 12 fights, Mickey Gall fought
  • CM Punk
  • Sage Northcutt
  • Diego Sanchez
  • Mike Perry
That alone must have been a lifetime of experience and must have prematurely aged him. If he'd been around a few years earlier and fought Junie Browning as well, he might have become immortal or something.

I remember Frankie vs Yair when the older fighter down right embarrassed the young one. Guessing age difference must have been like 20 years.

36 vs. 24-year old. Frankie just turned 40 a year or two ago, though it seems he's been around forever

Not even joking, but If it's just age gap, a Sherdog may be one half of the fight.

I can't remember his username but he had a match against Skip something (he was the oldest MMA fighter at the time.
The sherdogger name I wanna say was Evan?

Any old school Sherdog users have any idea?

I was going to bring up Roy Nelson's recent win in Masvidal's bare knuckle MMA, but found out his opponent was only 5 years younger at age 41...with only 3 prior fights, lol

I kind of remember that...the Skip part. I didn't know anything about his opponent. I though all Sherdoggers stood 6"7 and were 350 pounds with black belts in multiple disciplines + D1 or Dagestani wrestling experience.

I used to talk on AIM with the non skip half all the time. I'm pretty sure if we can figure out the skip fellows last name, I can probably figure out the rest.

Related to old Sherdog and AIM but not this thread.

Anyone remember or keep in touch with Vindaturk?

Last I heard from him, he called me, left a voicemail, I got it late, was gonna call the next day, phone broke and the voicemail with callback number was gone. Sad times...

Dan Severn (42) was 21 years older than Forrest Griffin (21) in 2001. Severn took him down at will for 3 rounds and stayed in his guard

I'm sure he beat a lot of younger fighters than that too, but none of them have wikipedias.

He has a Frank Dux thing going with inflated accomplishments in the military...but did win a few fights at a very old age. I'm not sure if any of them are suspected works. People have said that about both Travis Fulton and Dan Severn, who had a ton of wins in small circuit fights.

I think the fact that he ended up with a 3-5 record probably leans away to fights being fixed. I think just the attraction of his age was probably attention enough.

I think my ol Sherdog buddy beat him in amateur. I DID see the video and distinctly remember details about getting said video.
Wish I remembered more. Memory is a fickle bastard.

Travis Fulton basically picked out people with zero fighting experience out of small hillbilly bars out west. 90% of the time Travis Fulton would just take them down and pummel them in one round. Other times the kids were scrappy and survived a round or two until he KO'd them. And then like 2-3% of the time the guys put up a fight and actually won. A good majority of the fights are recorded.

They were legit fights, but they were mismatches and shouldn't have been sanctioned. He basically did it as a circus act to pad his record. How they are recognized as professional fights are beyond me. He was a professional fighter, but most of his opponents weren't. So are they considered professional fights?

Forgot that he was facing major time in prison for child porn/exploitation before hanging himself. Sad ending for almost an urban legend in MMA.
