Which do you think will be the bigger PPV and why?

Granted, the stars must line up for there to be a Jones-Gustafson rematch...but in the event that this rematch happens...will it be a bigger PPV than Jones-Cormier?

No one cares about Gus in North America except hardcore fans who stream PPVs, so Cormier.

The former. If for absolutely no other reason but for the Incredulous Cormier thread. That singlehandedly upped the PPV by 30% at the absolute least.

The jones/Cormier promo was the best 1 Ive seen in along time, its by far the most anticipated fight there is at this point.

The first Jones-Gustafsson PPV didn't do real well, but, the rematch will sell like bananas. Their match up is now a proven commodity, won Fight of The Year and was voted the greatest fight of all time by Fight Pass subscribers.

Both are big fights but nobody really knows how DC will do against Jones. With Jones-Gus, we already know what to expect... lots of entertainment, perhaps another war, and two extremely talented guys that bring it.

Jones/Cormier is definitely a bigger PPV. Do Jones/Gustafson in Sweden, however, and you could crush the all-time record for gate.

Jones/Cormier - if the fight went through the first time after the brawl it would have been massive PPV sales, as it stands, its still going to sell a TON of ppvs.

Totally possible. The PPV tho, iffy, timezone diff and all. But Jones - DC, this shit has all the makings of a classic. And now that I write the damn word I recall writing it the last time and being wrong in every which way a man could be but... still, I think this is where we find out who DC is. He either falters, cardio-wise, strength-wise. Or he manages a miracle. Either way, if DC wins it'll be in a very short fight he does so. Otherwise, a split for JJ...

If he beats Rumble a rematch with Jones will do good, but yea throwing Gus vs Manawa on fight pass after the Jones fight did nothing to boost his fame with the casuals.

jones-cormier and its not even close.a lhw legend jones in one hand and undefeated hw/lhw cormier on the other.this is the biggest fight in a loong time.

Jones-Cormier no doubt, that can potentially ascend Jones to GOAT. A rematch with Gus does not do that, just confirmation of Jones superiority.

The best light heavyweight fight of all time, and it was a title fight. Nothing else will compare to the rematch. The PPV buys will be crazy. Silva-Sonnen II and Silva-Weidman II showed how well rematches do when guys are competitive (and can beat) the division's greatest champion of all time.

I can agree. Def the best LHW I've seen. I'd pay to see this again easily.
