Fedor as a fighter was always one step ahead of his competition. Boxing, ground game, hell he even trained stand up in Holland kickboxing schools with Ernesto Hoost one of the most entertaining fighters of K-1. And he even tried to land a few kicks on Cro Cop... A master of head cutting?



He was supreme athlete. In 90% of his fights he was smaller than his opponents. People were scared of him.





I'm his big fan. And nobody was so dominant, so technical, so agressive as fedor was in heavyweight history.


I can say that someone is better then him. But who was so good in every place as Fedor was in mma history?

And lets not talk about power, we talk about pure skills as a fighter.

Stand up : He can bang with evrybody in the whole division. He sparred with boxing champions, K1 champions. He fought in stand up and was good against PRIME MIRKO CRO COP? THIS IS INSANE. He played the game by his own rules.

Anyway... The GOAT of MMA is still banging and i hope we will see him fight someone with a name and skills in future.

I really hate newbie posters. When Fedor beat guys like Big Nog and Crocop they were at their prime and killing everyone. Hell, even when Fedor beat Randleman, Coleman, Arlovski, and Sylvia they were all former UFC champions.

Bigfoot is a known TRT user. When he was on TRT he was crazy durable and very good. He outweighted Fedor by 40 pounds and was on TRT and Fedor still put up an awesome fight. The minute Bigfoot was off the TRT he started getting knocked out after every fight. Just look at TRT Bigfoot versus Mark Hunt in 1st fight. They had a toe to toe 5 round war. Look at NO TRT Bigfoot versus Markhunt in the 2nd fight. Bigfoot didn't even last 1 round and went down the minute Mark landed a solid shot. This is how powerful TRT is. No TRT Bigfoot would have also lost to Fedor in 1 round, I'm sure of it.

What's so funny about that? Tim Sylvia was always easy to hate (God knows I did), but at his best was a solid HW, and easily the top UFC HW in the mid 2000's. He KO'd Ricco when Ricco was a beast who TKO'd Randy and Arlovski. He KO'd Arlovski once, and handily (if boringly) beat him again over 5 rounds. He was beating the brakes off of Nog before Nog snatched up the guillotine in an awesome comeback, and that was right before Fedor fought him.

He was consensus top 10 at the time, and top 5 in a handful of polls as well.

It was a solid win, especially considering how he did it.

Having nice wins doesn't mean nothing when we are talking about how he would do against someone that doesn't have almost any wins. It is a fact now. Anything can happens. You can still say that someone is great and has the better wins and will beat the other dude based on that, but it's not going to happen if this other fighter has been also looking great and looks like he would be a bad match because of the way he fights.

TJ had a 10-2 record fighting against Barao, which you can say has the best wins and record in the BW, and was also undefeated for a long time. And happened that in their fight.

Weidman had a 8-0 fighting against current best fighter ever to the fans. And Weidman finished him.

Conor actually had a great record coming against Aldo, but a lot where claiming that he didn't had the best wins. I think that those are wrong, but if they think that, we can put Conor on here. He fought someone who didn't lose for the same time as Fedor and Barao, and finished the fight.

Most of the current HW would beat Fedor. JDS would stop his TDs and beat him on the feet. Overeem would do the same. Cain would use his wrestling and wreck him with his GNP like he did to BF, Lesnar and others. Stipe would do the same, but Stipe could also beat Fedor on the stand up. Werdum beats Fedor everywhere the fight goes.

Anyway, you make a decent point about his wins. Those are quality, and he did beat Fedor, too. BF definitely deserves more credit. He's a top HW of all time. The top? Hard to agree to that because he got thrashed by Cain twice. The Mir, Arlovski and recent Hunt losses don't mean much because he's shot now. But the Cain ones count.

Also BF has loses against Werdum and DC when he was on his "prime" (TRT). Eric Pele also did a quick work on him back in Bodog.

I reckon TRT SHW Bigfoot is a top fighter.. but his skills could not make up for the lack of juice. Overeem is a contrary example: went from Ubereem to Econoreem and still managed to be a top fighter.

No they're not, stop being silly.

Prime Nog 2x, Prime CC, Prime Tim, and Prime Arlovski are better wins. Plus Fedor has a bunch of not great but pretty good wins.

Fedor is the HW GOAT because he went undefeated for 10 yrs, won 4 titles, racked up 14 top 10 wins, defended his belt 3x, and beat the consensus #2 and #3 guys of his era. Show the man some respect.

Prime Tim and Arlovski? It could be argued both were better at different times.
