I'm not entirely opposed to that line of reasoning. However, I find it intellectually dishonest to explain away a mysterious phenomena by using another mysterious phenomena. It's lazy, especially when it comes from Bigfoot enthusiasts who use it to somehow prove Bigfoot's existence.

The Dennis Martin case is the best example of some sort of connection between these abductions and some creature.

Go out into the wilderness sometime. Not a lot of corpses lying around. Life eats life...and death...and in short order.

A large bi-pedal animal could easily exist without us currently having proof. My guess however as to the topic would be no.

I completely agree that the 411 disappearances should not be explained away by the Bigfoot phenomena. In the OP I speculated that it could be off-grid humans who are responsible; crazies that retreated to the wilderness. It could also be kidnapping rings, or a combination of many different things. Who knows...

Thanks for linking that case. I've heard that one before. It may even be mentioned in the video I posted in the OP.

I know a few, but they have a strict no picture policy. They're good people so I oblige them.

I find the topic of Bigfoot and other similar type humanoid creatures fascinating. I've read quite a few books, and have seen a lot of television programming about this subject. I'm frustrated that there hasn't been any hard evidence produced after all these years. However, the preponderance of credible eyewitnesses shows that there is definitely some phenomenon occurring that is consistent with existence of these creatures.
 
It's incredibly unlikely that this animal or any like it exists anymore (Gigantopithecus) especially in the modern world.

That is a fine gif. It's not that there was a standoff other than the cat doesn't know what he's looking at I think. Just last weekend a friend and I were trying to call coyotes and 4 doe came in on us. They were looking at us as I filmed with my phone and one in particular knew something was there. He was staring straight at us. He kept getting closer and was maybe 30-35 feet away. That sounds like a lot but it's not when you're out there if that makes sense.

Had some coyotes even closer than that last year but we were in the woods while it was super windy out. These two came sprinting in as soon as the call came on and were maybe 15 ft in front of us. Only difference was as soon as they got to the call they whipped their heads around at us and bolted as I raised my gun. My guess is they smelled us and knew they had made a mistake.
 
Does Bigfoot get shit caught in his fur when he poops.

If so its better he stays in the woods.
