Bigfoot. Is it possible they exist?

It may surprise you to learn that there are organisms, such as snakes, that can sense infrared.

It doesn't.

there's been many photos and videos over the years.

False.

you seem entirely set in your disbelief. But they're out there.

I'm not. I just prefer to have evidence before believing something. Obviously not the case for you.

Here's a video compilation of supposed sightings I found in less than 30 seconds. Keep in mind, only one has to be real for Bigfoot to exist.

Congrats on your Google skills I guess? Got any that aren't obvious hoaxes?

Guess you just didn't consider that before posting then?

Can't say that they're all hoaxes for certain, as much as I realize you want to.

Obviously you didn't read the OP in full.

Congrats on being a Doubting Thomas. Clearly no video or picture will suffice, so why ask?

Wow are you reaching. Snakes can sense infrared, therefore bigfoot can sense cameras. Tigers roar might paralyze, therefore bigfoot can paralyze people and wipe their memory like the men in black lol

You see this as reasons they haven't been found, I see convenient excuses with absolutely no basis reality.

Snakes sensing infrared and a tiger's roar being capable of temporarily paralyzing its prey have a basis in reality. I even provided a link to a study on the Tiger's roar.

I mentioned these things simply to show that it's possible they have abilities similar to these creatures that contribute to their elusiveness. I see these things as POSSIBLE reasons they've not been found, that is all. They may not have these abilities at all. I do not know. Not once ITT have I claimed explicitly that they exist or have these abilities for certain.

Found one.

You are tearing me apart, Lisa!

I don't believe or disbelieve in them but wouldn't be surprised if they were around. I would think they would have been captured on game cameras by now or hit by a vehicle at least. As far as them having the ability to sense cameras, there is a line of camouflage that attempts to block your bodies natural current and it seems to have success. If you guys hunt very often you'll have seen animals react to your presence without seeing or smelling you, at least I have. They seem to know you are there somehow. It doesn't seem impossible. The name of the company is HECS. I'll find one of their videos and post it shortly.

I feel like the people who believe in Bigfoot are the same who believe the earth is flat.

Nope. If we are able to find dinosaur fossil from millions of years ago, then finding bones of a huge apes would be just as possible.

Tales of these kinds of creatures have persisted for a long time. Native American folklore speaks of the Genoskwa that used to raid their villages. The mountains of Central Asia have the Almasty. In Russia the Yeti. Australia it is the Yowie. etc. All over the world there are reports of elusive upright walking ape-like hominids.

The question is, of course, are these stories, sightings, and reports rooted in truth? Or are they simply a product of hoaxers, crazies, imagination and eyewitness misidentification?

For anyone interested, there's a documentary called Missing 411 that catalogs strange accounts of people going missing in National parks and preserves. According to the doc, there are certain "hot spots", which the author refers to as "clusters", where strange disappearances take place. Here's a 40min YT vid about it for those that want to know more:

Could Bigfoot be responsible for some of these odd disappearances? Or is it something else, such as off-grid humans? Added to that, are the parks and preserves keeping quiet about it?

Here's a video about a retired ranger (Charles Branson) who claims not only do they exist, but that they're known about. He claims that their habits have been studied for years, despite there not being an official release to the public of this information.

So, what say you? Do you believe it's possible that we share the planet with an upright walking hominid that's been driven into the remote wilderness and still resides there? Why or why not?

I believe it possible, but I'm not a complete believer.

Bonus video of supposed Bigfoot nest for its young:

The "Missing 411" research and phenomena should most certainly be kept as far away from Bigfoot as possible.

Those are real, documented cases, retrieved through FOIA and researched extensively by David Paulides.

Good post.

I've also seen that their telepathy allows them to detect cameras and other technology so as to better avoid it lmao.

If telepathy did exist, how could it be used to detect inanimate objects? I guess if you're making things up, why not go all the way.

Storytelling has been a big part of every human culture and parents used some type of boogie man to keep their children from wandering off.

Until the 411 phenomena is understood, I don't see why it should be excluded. They're unsolved cases with peculiar circumstances, some of which, based on the oddities of the events, may be related to the Bigfoot phenomena.

Let's all latch onto the telepathy thing which was mentioned by a single poster talking about other random posters from a site we're not on.

As far as the storytelling, perhaps it is all just myth.

Here's an interesting (second hand) story written by Teddy Roosevelt in which he speculates that may indeed be the case for the story he was told.

Absolutely they can. The problem with most of our perceptions of this world is that our reality is a lie, and our lies are the reality. As long as they can keep making us believe in the lies, those lies will be our reality. Just because we can't see it, touch it, or observe it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, it just makes it harder to believe in, thus making it highly unlikely to most of the population.

I guarantee traveling around the world, interacting with different cultures, and observing how other people live will definitely change how you view the world and what is considered real and not real.

I'm definitely interested in the idea of Bigfoot but nah I don't believe he exists.
