So now seniors can get price gouged.
I guess it should be expected by Trump who told us the COVID vaccine was safe when he railroaded it with Operation Warpspeed showed me he was in Big Pharmas pocket.
I am going to take a cue from Elon and instead of offering a horse to get a handjob, I am going to find single moms working 2 or 3 jobs just for their kids insulin , I will offer to trade insulin for a handjob.
United Healthcare just got busted overcharging billions for prescription but now they have an oligarch friendly President that just made it legal.

Will see how much import fees and tax Trump will add for medicaments and equipment import from " bad parasitic europe ". Some stuff U.S can't replace quickly...it isn't doable in 1-4 years....

Probably because he wants his own EO to lower drug prices again, Biden ended and suspended some of Trumps EOs that did that.

Trumps EO's
Executive Order 13877 "Improving Price and Quality Transparency in American Healthcare to Put Patients First"

This EO aimed at increasing transparency in healthcare pricing, including drugs, and promoting competition to lower costs.
Executive Order 13937 - "Lowering Drug Prices by Putting America First"

This order included measures to allow the importation of cheaper drugs from other countries and to link U.S. drug prices to those in other countries through the "Most Favored Nation" rule.
Executive Order 13938 - "Access to Affordable and Safe Insulin and Epinephrine"

Biden freeze hits two Trump drug price rules

A freeze by the new Biden administration on Trump-era regulations will hit at least two rules aimed at lowering drug prices, including one dealing with insulin and EpiPens for under-served patients.

Biden's First 100 Days

The halt follows a memo last month from White House chief of staff Ron Klain directing agencies to halt new and pending regulations from going into effect to ensure Biden officials have the opportunity to review them.

The Department of Health and Human Services issued a flurry of regulations that sought to address high drug prices, one of Americans’ chief health care complaints,in the waning days of former President Donald Trump’s term. They stemmed from a set of executive orders Trump signed in July and September.

Jesus Christ the whole political system is retarded and playing with people's lives in this case.

Just like replacing Obama care or getting Mexico’s first installment for the wall. If it’s like that then don’t hold your breath.

what he's failing to realize is that "creating competition" in the capitalist medicine space does absolutely nothing to lower costs for american people. the capitalist utopia they pretend exists would dictate that ALL prices come down as demand decreases and/or supply increases.

of course, legislation can not affect either of those things. legislation cannot decrease demand or increase supply. only production (aka labor) can. and production, of course, costs money.

Legislation absolutely can affect the price of the drugs.
Up until the Biden administration, Medicare couldn't negotiate the price of drugs, they were forced to pay whatever the drug companies wanted to charge.

How was it even possible that the government couldn't negotiate drug prices?
Republicans took a shit ton of lobbyist money, and demanded that part be included in the Affordable Care Act, or they wouldn't have voted yes.

This executive order specifically outlined that drug prices should be lowered through the discretion of the CMS' Innovation Center. This is all the EO is about. Which is already sus to begin with, why does an "Innovation Center" need to get involved with pricing? The Innovation Center decided to increase funding for gene therapies and accelerated clinical trials. On their pdf release on the subject they even admit that gene therapies have low evidence of long-term effectiveness and wouldn't be funded otherwise. Accelerated clinical trial speaks for itself, it's about approving drugs and vaccines that don't meet the usual threshold of evidence. It's not about pricing at all. It's about funding experiments in which the taxpayer is the guinea pig... again.

They know y'all are too lazy to read anything, seeing a headline and making assumptions about what it is. Not that Trump is a good guy. I'm guessing the uniparty decided to change the bureaucratic arrangement of the experiment to fit with some other million EO that Trump passed and that nobody read either.

He has been in office for 2 days. We will see. Obamacare was and still is a disaster. If the public were to vote on it, no way it would make it. Screwed over millions of middle-class Americans, and didn't really decrease the uninsured like it was supposed to. Anyone that owns a small business also hates it.

He revoked an order to "investigate lowering drug prices". Not an order to "lower drug prices". Seniors did not have lower prices because of it, it was only an "investigation" into lowering drug prices. If Trump has a different plan to lower costs then this investigating committee is not needed.

Why do you constantly lie when the headline of the article proves you incorrect?
Trump rolls back Biden directive to study methods of lowering prescription costs
