I did not really care who wins, I like both. Wrestler or Striker is not relevant to me. After all, is MMA, right?
But I had the impression that Herb could not see Robbie's thumb from his position, who was perhaps 3, max 4 inches from his face. If he had held his hand to the right from his side, I doubt that the fight would have been broken off. At least not in this situation.
As a referee, you always look the stupidest in such a situation. But here I can not blame him alone.
Nevertheless, I would have liked a different outcome.

I love Robbie but i agree. You never see anybody's hand go limp like that unless they go out. But it was odd how he seemed totally fine when the fight got stopped. I'd love to see a rematch

No. The debate isn't what it looked like, it is what actually happened. Herb stopped the fight.

#1- You don't flash in/out/in.
#2- You don't thumbs up.
#3- You don't flex arms in a choke
#4- You don't tuck the leg
#5- You certainly don't pull a head down in that position, you remove the base. Askren pulled his own head out. Robbie felt that and focused on losing position. Tucked Ben's foot. Watch it.

I think it was premature, but I wanna say one thing.

I am a big fan of Askren

He kind of looks like the third step brother, but he has heart.

He also is funny with his trash talk and Imo looks like he definitely doesn't juice.

I don't know how well he will do in the UfC? But I will follow the guy with interest.

I get he is marmite and I wasn't too hot on him at the beginning.

However, I like the guy now!
