IMO Neither are bullshitting.

Ngannou knows that Jones is a big name and that he only has to land one big shot.

I also believe that Jones is dead serious about thinking that he could win a decision over Ngannou if he managed to avoid getting clipped early.

I think the problem is the way the UFC sees it, this fight either kills a champions invincible aura, or destroys one of the most hyped contenders the last few years in what used to be the casuals favorite division. As cool as this fight is, it doesnt make much business sense.

I am so shocked at the discrepancies in numbers.
DC was saying that 5-7 millions was a very reasonnable amount for Jones and the UFC wouldn't hesitate to pay that.
On the other hand Ngannou said in his last podcast with Tyson that the most he ever had for a fight was half a million.

I highly doubt Ngannou is asking for more than 1.5millions (already a very big check though).

Francis versus Jones is the best fight Dana can make at this time, with no compelling title fights on the horizon. (Cejudo retired, Miocic firefighting, no one wants to see Jones/Jan, Usman looking for fights)

It's one of the best fights to make right now, but the fucked up thing is that with the UFC's current model, there's no way they'll pay them what they're demanding, especially Jon. I think Frank could be negotiated.

They're not gonna make Conor-Khabib numbers, but they want that kinda money. Not that they shouldn't, but I doubt we'll ever see this.
